    A shame, but the problem, I think, is liveries are so fragmented for buses. I know I'm not interested in a bus unless it's in a livery I want, and that's a short list of one. No manufacturer could produce hundreds of tiny runs of each wanted livery for any bus, so interest is very likely to be low on initial announcement and only prove out in the long run. For the record, I'd have two of these in the Wilts & Dorset livery (red white black), but probably not many more than two.

    They did have small lights on the body just above the buffers that were hardly visible at night, let alone during the day.

    There were only 4 3-carriage sets of the 64' multi-doors, so seeing them on around the BR(S) region would have been rare. To answer the question of the frames, yes, I believe they were Maunsell frames from before WWII, and were used up by Bulleid after the war. However, as said they weren't in a great state even then, so later in their lives they deteriorated more quickly than other new builds.

    SSDs don't last forever, so it may just be that the SSD overhead has been reached and there's no longer enough overhead to handle cell failures. Might just need a new SSD.

    Not knowing anything much about Bob Dylan, I certainly didn't get the reference. I can't say I much like his music at all, and in fact tend to avoid it.

    Linux's biggest problem is that you're considered to be either a 'dumb' user, or an outright Guru. There's no allowance for being a power user who only occasionally needs to change settings, where GUI elements help to remember how to set things. The command line requires seriously learnt knowledge, retained in memory constantly, and doesn't allow for making sure typos don't screw things up.

    I was able to use the UEFI key for Windows 10 that came with the laptop I have, for an install of Windows 10 in a VM on my Linux Mint install on that very same laptop. So yes, it should be there. I think with Windows 11 the TPM2 requirement just means that it's easier for M$ to check on valid installs and make sure only one is active at any time (?)

    The previous BG wasn't a particularly bad model. How does its molding compare to the new versions, bearing in mind it has no windows to speak of?

    My 15xx, when I get it, is 'supposed' to be used to haul twelve coach trains from a town station to a harbour station, so not so far from the 'truth' (at least as far as S&P is concerned).

    I've just ordered some of these for S&P, even though my modelling mojo is currently in the 'off' position. Not cheap of course, but with production runs being smaller these days and things tending to sell out, I felt it was get them now or miss out.

    ISTR that the BBC did a Horizon programme on the APT in the early 80s, and it covered the issue of the hunting.

    There's 37/4s in original Large Logo condition, 31/4s in basic blue, 50s in Revised Standard no orange cantrail stripe, etc, yet. And U and Q classes for steam BR(S). And... And... 😉

    Revolution would be the better candidate for an OO 59, but they're unlikely to do one as the Dapol looks like it's doing well enough for most potential buyers. I only want one though, and that's 59001 in it's guise when it first arrived and was being tested. Dapol have yet to do that.

    I was going to say, the APT-E, along with other prototypes, deserve their place in history and therefore a place in a museum if they still exist, no matter how successful they were as they often lead to the developments being used in later designs.

    My wallet can breathe a sigh of relief for the time being, as there's still no plain blue tops no orange cantrail, or original condition LL 37/4.

    I believe Lazerglaze is also cut piece-by-piece (?), not moulded, so it takes longer to 'manufacture'.
