  1. is smiling after hearing Cross-Country's 'spokesman' explaining why services were not possible today along the sea wall due to high tides. ..quote " when 1000s of gallons of water completely drowns out the electrics and they can't run". Comparing to the bomb proof HSTs, what a load of old cr*p the Voyager design is when they knew the conditions that they were due to operate in.

      It's the brake resistors on the roof of the tin rockets that are the main problem when the sea is high. Virgin and Chris agreed knew all about these issues when the Voyagers were brought in yet ignored them. We're just left with the aftermath.... There were alternatives at the time which the 220 was chosen over.

      IIRC they used to be available but after a while nobody wanted to pay for them, even if any were available. Interesting thought about the IEPs!
