  1. Thx for posting those pics. There’s always many interesting things to see.
  2. That looks much better Paul. Good work. I’m not sure if I’ve asked you this before but where do you get your Kato stuff from?
  3. Yes please! It’s been some time since I’ve been to Eurospoor having gone regularly when I managed to coincide work visits to Utrecht
  4. Yes I was planning that too for straight sections and build points maybe..
  5. Yes I’m using 150RAD purely because of space constraints, to be hidden under hillsides out of view. I also like building track so may do the track shimmy between unitrak. But exciting times
  6. That looks nice Ian. I do have “some” Swiss z scale locos but don’t think I would have the courage to butcher them. But I’m happy to accept the infidelity.
  7. Oh you beat me to it! Will look forward to it..
  8. Ok good to know and if it works out I’ll grab some ends from you as I would like to give it a try.. maybe we could have RhätiaMOD I’ll try and catch up with you at Warley
  9. This looks great! and Alp Grum would be good candidate.. not to mention a landwasser module:D I really like modular idea and that fact I could swap in and out. I am pondering a couple of ideas for Nm9 and have some ideas for how I mount them to my wall. I think this might need a separate thread?
  10. With the 150mm radius track I think I could squeeze in a bit into my tiny space along a wall. I have some unitrak to play with..
  11. I seem to have found a new infatuation in the form of HGem2/2 loco of the TPC (Transports Public du Chablais) but they are on other lines and to my amazement there are some pretty good dimensional images found elsewhere on the web. and some pics of the TPC loco https://hiveminer.com/User/ChristopheBerthoud/Recent Not the most attractive loco in the world but it has a certain charm. The fact it is basically a box means that it "would" be easier to model. I haven't decided on this yet but it's gnawing a hole in the back of my mind..
  12. Well I might be able to add to that if you decide to open it out a bit.. Now you have got the grey matter going..
  13. Would that be "modular" P.S. Sorry meant not to be so obscure.. is it like your Hartz layout or the 009 modular?
  14. They don’t look too shoddy.. is this a test bed for something bigger Paul.. maybe a modular RhB layout?
  15. Those Sb-vs look lovely Antonio. It’s something I started having a go a scratch building in HOm but now I’ve moved to 1:150 it might be a bit harder
  16. If anyone can you can They do look nice though. I’m holding out for Kato as these bit beyond me at the moment.
  17. Just found your thread Paul after a bit of a sabbatical, go full size I say..
  18. For me it was in late 60’s when my brother was given the Hornby Albert Hall set and Pullman coaches that we set up on kitchen table. He lost interest but wouldn’t let me have it so I was given a circle of track and I think a dock tank with a wagon by my grandfather. This was then added to over next few years with a rural rambler set which fuelled the imagination for years and finally a class 47 loco. I think I was about 14 when I managed to get a sheet of 8x4 chipboard and tried to make a layout as dad wasn’t at all handymanish it was a failure and never finished, so no change there then!. Still remember it like it was yesterday.. P.S I was fired up by a present of a years Railway Modeller subscription which I then went on to save my pocket money until stopped buying in the 2000’s kept them till last move the slashed and scanned and I. Now still enjoying them rather than them gathering dust and slung out.
  19. Hi, noob question but what do people use for gluing down pcb’s down on to a ply board. I did a cursory search but on my tiny ithingumy it’s a bit difficult. Anyway thanks for any advice and I might post a pic of my efforts later if it doesn’t look pants

  23. Yes through the ups and downs of rmweb and life you have created a truly amazing community. You should be proud and once you’ve moved away from the keyboard raise a glass to having kept it going in some difficult times and to its the continuation.
