I'm confused... is it OO9 or 009 narrow gauge?! I thought it was OO9 (after OO scale) but apparently not...

  From my Knowledge!! 0 gauge (ie ZERO) derived from Gauge 1 Gauge 2 Gauge 3 etc which were gauges the well to do had their toy trains in in the late 1800s onwards, 0 was the next smaller gauge, followed by 00 and H0 in europe ( H0 = Half 0) so I always considere 00-9 to be correct not that it matters much everyone knows what it means i would have thought??

  But 00 is OO as you say "double-oh"... right?! What a minefield!
  
  The only reason I ask is that I want to put the correct tags so people find my layout easier
