  9. I suspect that many people who commute these distances earn more than the ticket cost in a few minutes at the most and they have the benefit of having a full hour in front of their screen on the train, so probably covered the cost before the train even leaves the station.
  10. My selection:- 4, 6, 9, 10, 11 & 12. Focus choice 13, 4 Focus choice 14, 10
  11. I did 4 weeks training there in the hot summer of 1976 and a further 3 in the early 80's, it was just like what it was, an army barracks. The best thing was that the station was easily accessed from the camp and there were plenty of quick trains to London so I managed to get friendly with another course member and we went down to London every night and managed to get round the terminal stations to do a bit of spotting. With a couple of pints after they were enjoyable evenings and a quick return to barracks was ideal.
  12. The USA is a country and the EU isn't, hence the no borders in the USA and commonality of language over the state boundaries and the borders, with different languages each side, in Europe, despite the EU calling the individual countries "States"?
  13. 1,4,5,6,7. My choices, more variety of banana vans always welcome, fish vans useful and a variety of goods vans a staple.
  14. This is a brilliant idea, well done for bringing it to us. I think keeping it micro within the "standard" micro dimensions is the way to go, there is plenty of flexibility with the size and it also allows 2 things, relative attainability and the possibility of re-imagining what you can do in a small space, rather than going for a fixed oblong, as you don't have to use the maximum size. Looking forward to how this project develops.
  15. I was going to say and it reminds me I wouldn't want to live there, especially in some of the locations the train passes as I am not and never will be a city dweller.
  16. Approach to Waterloo, just for the realisation that London is arriving.
  17. Riccarton Junction my choice for this poll.
  18. I went into a few of them during the day when it was light enough to see what they were actually like, not very clean and sanitary, don't forget smoking was allowed indoors, would probably cover the state of most. In the dark not really noticed, due to drink and lack of proper lighting.
  19. Having a job in my youth which entailed home visits, you really don't want to know.
  20. When you see that they have 85,000+ views and the channel is monetised, they are making enough from these incursions to live, they have found a money source and I expect that to them that is the important aspect of what they do.
  21. Apparently made sense only to me so revision 1 1 = A4 2 = V2 3 = Peppercorn A2.
  22. 1 = A4 2 = V2 3 = 04 Makes sense to me.
  23. 8F and Black5 have to be the choice as the numbers and widespread use must indicate their suitability for the tasks they had (have), so that wins it for me as they are also handsome engines is the icing on the top.
