  1. Regarding Forklifts. On the left is the Dinky Coventry climax which I think is meant to be 1/43. On the right is a corgi Alis Chalmers which i guess is 1/50th. Also present Dapol 08 and van, 1/43 Oxford Bedford van and Hardys hobbies 1/43 figure. Paul

  3. I have a Prairie that runs well forward but in reverse there is a noticeable lack of smoothness. It is fitted with a lokpilot decoder- no sound. I have an end to end layout approx 20ft and have run it backwards and forwards at different speeds but the reverse direction does not improve. Paul

  10. Is it me or did the Author forget which edition he was writing for? The intro consists of several pages of text relating to the steam era and early BR diesels. Bizzare. Paul
  11. I have done a little more by painting and weathering the rear wall. Using Halfords red primer, thinned down matt black and a dusting of weathering powders. Quite pleased how its turned out. The smaller front wall had just been painted. I need to sort out a pipe bridge to hide the entry/exit. All in good time. Paul
  12. Working silly shifts at work has slowed progress but over the last 10 days I managed to construct a retaing wall out of card, foam board and plasticard. Paul

  14. So following on from my Stoneferry engineering micro in the 7mm section I have had another bash at something else. Some scrap wood has been staring at me for ages so along with some spare peco track and a re-found draw runner I set to work to see what would fit. Paul
  15. The layout didn't go any further and was eventually broken up. Stoneferry engineering (see below) was the next project. I also have u shaped loft layout that gets attention now and again. It all keeps me out of trouble! regards Paul
  16. Great model but I must say they are rather oddly packed in the box, you are looking into the body of the wagon so you cannot see the model! Paul
