    Today I started with the construction of the benchwork for my future layout addition.. I'm planning to built a waystation where a branchline will connect to the Garve and Ullapool Railway The benchwork is made from Ikea Ivar Shelves. The progress.     Early these month I visited a friend. He held his anual Silvester layout operating sessions. These took place in the weeks after christmas. His layout is a combination of a layout with the addition of FREMO N-RE modules. Here is a short movie made by me. [(/youtube] Markus

    Hello, the last few days I continued with one of my curved modules which I started last year, and I started with the scenic base. First I applied a coat of brown latex paint and covered it with blended turf by Woodland Scenics/Noch. After the glue have dried I applied 1mm static gras. Now the glue must dry. Markus

    In the meantime I used my static grass applicator on Ullapool. Here the result. Also the first grave stones appeared on the grave yard area. Markus

    Hello, the last three days I continued with the scenic work at the stationthroat of Ullapool. First I contiuned with the base of styrofoam. After that I applied the roadsurface of 1mm card, and than I applied plaster for the shape of the scenery. Today I painted it brown and than I applied Woodland Scenics Turf. When these is dry, I will vaccuum it, and then I wil apply static grass on it. On the hill in the right corner ther will be a former graveyard as in reality. Markus

    Dave, maybe you could get some inspirations from some german N scale models of the Class V100/211 from the Deutsche Bundesbahn, by Fleischmann, Arnold and Minitrix. These engine class had a similar appearance as the class 17 Markus

    I think it would be great if Dave would produce some scottish steamers in N scale. For example the Caledonian Jumbo or 812 class. Markus

    These weekend I held an operating session on my Garve & Ullapool Railway. These weekend we tried the British Railway Bell Code for the comunication between Ullapool and the Fiddle Yard. Here is a film showing the communication for some trains. Markus

    Hello Missy, thank you for your reply. A friend of mine who is offering etches in continental N told the same, that with Shapeways sometimes they say the print is within their limitations, and another time the same object isn't. He have looked for another 3D Printing service. He had offered models of Skoda cars as RTP models in limited editions. At the moment he is offering IFA W50 lorry kits.
