  1. I think it was 2011 or 2012 the Q6 topped it, hopefully we will see one in the near future. An A5 or A8 is one choice of tank locomotive I would like to see. The A5's I believe were quick well spread.
  2. Les, They are the same size and dimentions. 77 is almost identical to 47. Only a different shaped bunker, larger capacity. No77 however is currently in bits so scanning maybe some time in the future. We are just in the process of rewheeling the chassis. Regards Paul
  3. Hornby Magazine have offered results of the most in demand models for the last few years and most of the main manufacturers have ignored the results. A K1 was in demand last survey. Q7 I believe was high in demand the year before. I would like to see a Q7, K1 or a J27. Also the nice little RSH to the left of this post would be nice
  4. Super model. Will not fit with my NE region BR layout but will still buy one just because it looks so good

Another nice model. One to look forward to. Wonder how long it will take to get to the shops though
  7. I have been speaking to a couple of traders and they are concerned at the slow pace of new models as it is really effecting thier businesses. This a comment about both the main two manufacturers!
  8. I wonder if the NEM coupling socket will be easily removed without cutting off. Always feel the socket spoils the look of the locomotive when you remove couplings.
  9. Thanks for the update Andy. On my list of must haves and other than my B17 purchase there has been little new to buy recently.
  10. Is there any thoughts towards a North Eastern region signal?
  11. Any news on the release date. We seem to be getting nothing new coming through from any of the manufacturers at the moment!
  12. It all seems to have gone quiet on the 4F front. Any news when they are due? Does anyone know if any of the first batch to be released were based at York? I believe there was 3 or 4 based there for a while?
  13. Looking forward to seen this layout at Spennymoor this weekend!!
  14. Had to say what an excellent layout. Easily the best at the show.
  15. I currently have loads of code 100. Might try spacing the sleepers to see what affect you get.
  16. The track work looks excellent. I simply cannot decide the avenue to follow in terms of track. I'm currently leaning towards SMP. But then you see the improved Peco and then back to considering my options!
  17. Really looking forward to the release on these loco's! Are they due soon?

Thanks for sharing. I will resolve my two tonight. No derailing issues, just the crabbing a little. I'm sure it depends on the radius of curves.

  22. Excellent news. I only wish ( Not meaning to wish list) that someone would do the Q6 or the J27.
  23. I recently noticed my chassis starting to go. Contacted Hornby and got replacement block within 2 days. Cannot complain about the aftercare service. They were happy to take it back and replace it at their own cost. I chose to repair myself rather than send the loco off. There is a bit of work to do swapping everything over to the new block so I would check what lies beneath the body before committing completing the repair yourself. Took about half hour to complete. Mine was D5510 and one of the first batches of BR green for those trying to work out if they are effected.

Just got the latest weathered addition 67759, a local loco to me so have waited for this one to be issued. It has to be one of the best models I have bought in a long while. Run superb straight from the box. Only the bogie crabbing on the curves of concern. Even with 5ft radius curves it is visible. Someone previously had a fix with wire. Any chance of some pics? Seen the spring option but it is a little too visible for me.

I'm sure Hornby could sell you a replacement loco body. They are normally very good for spares or replacement parts. I got a replacement A4 body quite quickly for a friend and it was a new model.
