Well decision made, just not telling the wife! As I'm planning a model of Seamer on the Scarborough/ York line I've seen evidence they visited, so consider another BR version sold. Any version will look superb in front of a rake of Pullmans.
Hi All,
I was told today by someone that it has been cancelled. They contacted part works and were told there has not been the take up. Hardly well advertised to be fair. Not many folk know about it.
Our groups delivery of sentinels finally arrived today. What a great model, well worth the wait and so pleased I have got my hands on one. In my opinion one of the best models Hornby have produced, fantastic!!
I'm still only half way through my Flying Scotsman but will finish it at some point. Anyway, all signed up. In my opinion a good way of spreading the cost. Evening Star next please :-)
There is nothing that cannot be restored. It is simply a question of time and money. If someone or a group have both or prepared to raise the funds it can work again!
Just spoken to our groups wholesaler. Confirmed as now in stock but limited supplies. Ours get despatched on the 2nd Jan when they return from Christmas holidays. I will update our website when in stock but it sounds like they are hens teeth!
I think it is great news for Locomotion models. The recent runs of models have all sold out in short periods. It shows that they are making great choices when selecting and commissioning models with Bachmann. Most importantly making money to keep the museum going in times where funding is being cut. I personally missed out on the L&Y model, hesitated as it did not fit the era on my layout. Regretting it now! I tend to snap up limited editions as an investment for my two children.
I think the moral of the story is that there is always people out there looking to earn a living. If you want a model then get in quick! Thats two I have missed in the last 6 months. In terms of future models can we have a Q7? Another one from the National Collection and I'm sure will be a popular model.
