  1. I’m surprised that we have not seen a revised D49 from Hornby over the last couple of years.
  2. I also believe the Robinson A5 covered a large geographical location. For me they were found on the Saltburn branch and at Darlington.
  3. As a North East modeller the J21 and J27 are both significantly appealing. The Q6 was the best thing since sliced bread for me. In terms of tank locos the A5 and A8 for me.
  4. TMC do some great commissions. Have you thought of a commission of one of your local locos the J27?
  5. I just hope they look at the high scorers on the wish lists from previous for the items folk want. Being from the North East I know there is demand for a J27 and with the preserved example due on the NYMR for completion and running in. It should be easy for scanning purposes. The J27 scored higher than the Q6 on numerous occasions.
  6. Thanks for attending the Spennymoor show this year. The HUO announcement was well received and look forward to the final product. All the best for 2018
  7. We will get some updates on shortly though. We have now started to stock DJ Models. Available cheaper than the box shifters at www.wrlpg.com
  8. For me it is the WD 2-8-0 or the Standard 4 tank as it has always been a favourite.
  9. I was led to believe there is no merger just a buying stake in what is essentially the factory. The holding company. Not Oxford Rail and not Oxford diecast.
  10. Are Hornby announcing their new projects at Warley again this year? Not been the usual frothing leading up to the show.
  11. Just noticed the Sentinel diesel shunter in now RRP about £95! Almost doubled in price in 2 years. I think the secondhand market is going to be quite strong going forward
  12. Not bought a collectors club model in years. Absolutely nothing of interest. Last buys were the likes of Black Prince, K3, Ivatt 4 and Class 37 green.
  13. I’d have a fleet of J27’s, J21’s a couple of J25’s and a sprinkle of RSH 0-6-0 saddle tanks to shunt my HUO’s ordered ;-)

I got 69023 Joem when I was about 5 years old. 34years on it is still as reliable as ever on the layout. I got a Bachmann one when they first came out. Absolutely garbage. Has never run well. I do look forward to the new release though I’m sure in the last collector club mag it is only at cad stage so easy 2 years off considering how slow Bachmann get new product to the market
  15. That’s mine preordered. I know a great little RSH from Dunston that would go well with them
  16. Surprised no one has bought 3814 based on the NYMR. I’m sure that loco is for sale.
  17. Thanks to everyone who supported our show again this year. Vital restoration funds raised and looking forward to next year already. Hope you like the DJ Models announcement. I will be ordering some.
  18. Don’t forgot to buy a raffle ticket on the door tomorrow. DJ Models J94 and Bachmann V1 are two of the top prizes donated by Dave Jones and Kirby East, thanks to Mike and Sue

    Ask Dave

I might do tomorrow night. Supporters of the show get first view. Unless Dave wants to share
  20. It looks like a new thread can’t be started on the DJ Models section so only those who come to Spennymoor tomorrow will find out :-)
  21. DLPG

    Ask Dave

Or do only those who attend Spennymoor over the weekend get to know?

    Ask Dave

Dave, When do we start the thread for the new NE announcement at Spennymoor today? Looks like no one can start a new thread on the DJ Models section
  23. Welcome to scan No77 when it is back on one piece. Unless the parts can be scanned
  24. Just about all set to go for tomorrow. Please show us your support. Great layouts, excellent trade support and there is also DJ Models come and see Daves progress with projects. All proceeds go towards the restoration of our charity’s RSH No77 Norwood. Many thanks
