  10. I use Code 100 only for storage sidings now. Went with Marcways recently building my own turnouts. I’m starting a new exhibition layout shortly and will probably go down the Peco Bullhead route. Looks so much better. I will use code 100 for the sidings as you can pick up good second hand points for a few quid.
  11. Already have a few OO gauge and those are excellent. Will definitely get some O gauge for the new garden railway. Brilliant news
  12. Car is all packed ready for tomorrow’s event. Always a great show, highly recommended. Some great trade and layouts normally in the carriage shed
  13. I know there is a tread for the general event in the Preservation section but to highlight here there is also a bit of a Model Railway Show in the carriage shed at Marley Hill, layouts, trade and great bacon sandwiches. Please call in and say hello!
  14. Just thought I would promote this weekends show at Kirby Stephen. Layouts, trade, miniature Railway and I think trains running. Worth a trip to see the amazing progress made over the last 12 months. DLPG are in attendance with our society stand or half of it. The rest of us are at Tanfield legends of industry. Two great events, that’s your weekend sorted folks!
  15. Durham Locomotive Preservation Group will be in the carriage shed with our society stand and exhibiting one of our group members layouts. Support the event annually. A brilliant event, well worth a visit.
  16. Bought my kids the Bachmann versions via EBay and US sellers. Much better with their moving eyes.
  17. They will be on EBay for daft money over coming days!!
  18. I think I was lucky enough to get the penultimate one. There were only 2 when I ordered
  19. One day exhibition at the YMCA in Newton Aycliffe. Opposite Tesco. Some excellent layouts and loads of good trade. Worth a trip. I'm there with our O gauge layout High Grange.
  20. Our group sales are next out at Newton Aycliffe on Saturday 10th March for the Rotary Club one day exhibition. Please visit our website and visit our model shop. We really need your support to progress our restoration.
  21. Dear all, We were booked with our society stand but received a call this morning advising that due to the adverse weather conditions this years show was cancelled. Please spread the word. Thanks Paul
  22. Really frustrating being an NE modeller. Especially lacking the time to kit build. I was hopeful that Oxford would have announced something. I'm sure Dave Jones in time will replace the OO Q6 with a NE replacement. Bachmann seem to have no interest. Hornby Q6 was excellent and I hope enough were sold to justify another trip into the North East. Personally I almost gave up my modelling interest until the K1 and Q6 were released.
  23. It could make the J21 an easy project for Hornby considering the similarities to the J15.
  24. Could Hornby or Bachmann go down the crowdfunding avenue if they feel demand is not present?
