Hi Martyn, I don't believe that either layout has appeared in the model railway press per se. However both appear extensively in Iain Rice's book Creating Cameo Layouts with Longwood Edge being a collaborative effort between Iain and Don Leeper.

The team were pleasantly surprised to be awarded The Founder's Cup at Southampton considering the other layouts that were there - we understand it was a close call with the excellent Calderwood. We were extremely well looked after - with tea and biscuits just down the corridor. The next outing is scheduled to be the Derby show in the Roundhouse on the 9th & 10th May - after that we don't have any other exhibitions confirmed. Hi Geoff, I thought so when making the original posting which is why the entry has it as being "exhibited" by the N Gauge Society. The layout list is as given to me by the Exhibition Manager and as such has the layout forming part of the N Gauge Society stand. Unfortunately the information given makes no mention of the Bentley MRG but does have the layout as being ex Grahame Hedges - the original builder. I have updated the OP and the CMRA website exhibition page to reflect ownership by the Bentley MRG.

Up to two children, aged 5 to 15 will be admitted FREE with each paying adult. Charge for additional or unaccompanied children is £4. Advance bookings can be made by telephoning 01438 363200 or in person at the venue's Box Office. The venue is situated only a couple of hundred yards from Stevenage's main shopping area and offers a town centre location with the benefits of good transport links and car parking. For those coming by public transport the railway station is literally just over the road and is joined to the venue and town centre by a pedestrian bridge. Services are mainly operated by Great Northern, lying on the route from London King's Cross to Peterborough & Cambridge. The station is also served by trains between London and Letchworth via Hertford North. The bus station is also close, less than a minutes walk away. For those travelling by car the venue is on the dual carriageway A602 which is easily accessed by two junctions on the A1(M), one from the north and one from the south, with an estimated 5 minute travelling time from the motorway. The Leisure Centre is to the east of the railway station and has several ground level car parks. A little further away are the town's multi-storeys. The rates vary for the car parks shown with the most expensive ones being the two railway station ones - marked as RS and RN. If you wish to keep your car parking charges to a minimum it is best to visit on the Sunday where the rate for all the car parks - except for the railway station ones - is currently £2.00 for all day. Note the one marked P is reserved for exhibitors on the Saturday and Sunday. Please note the very large car parks to the west of the station - off the plan to the left - are for the Leisure Park, not the Leisure Centre, and although free for users of the Park will attract a PCN with a charge of £100 should you leave your car there and walk over the footbridge to the station and the exhibition venue.

Not yet in WH Smith at London Bridge today - which is usually one of the first to have it on their shelves.

De Graafstroom which as well as the most votes in the Public vote also picked up the Keith Nock Memorial Trophy as the favourite layout of members, exhibitors and the trade. The layout from the Netherlands measures some 12ft long with a scenic section 10ft wide into the wings (7ft opening) x 3ft 10in deep. It goes from this: To this for transportation: The baseboard on the right, which is sitting in the lid of the transportation box, is lifted up and goes on top of the board on the left, sitting on its four peg feet. The lid is then put on and the whole thing then lifted onto the roof rack on the car - total weight box and layout is 35kg. The box has proved to be very watertight given the weather on Friday! Two of the layouts appearing at the show, Blueball Summit and Midland in Bristol, feature heavily in the latest edition of Model Railway Journal (MRJ 274) which has just been published. Also Bottom Works Sidings appears in the Cameo Gems feature and elsewhere. There may be a few copies of MRJ 274 on sale at the show for those who don't have it on subscription and can't wait to find it in a WH Smiths - that is if the exhibitors don't beat you to them!
