  3. Hi Andy, Excellent nine page article in the latest MRJ. Looking forward to seeing the layout this weekend at Uckfield. http://www.uckfieldmrc.co.uk/exhibition.html
  4. Two of the layouts appearing at the show, Blueball Summit and Midland in Bristol, feature heavily in the latest edition of Model Railway Journal (MRJ 274) which has just been published. Also Bottom Works Sidings appears in the Cameo Gems feature and elsewhere. There may be a few copies of MRJ 274 on sale at the show for those who don't have it on subscription and can't wait to find it in a WH Smiths - that is if the exhibitors don't beat you to them!

  6. Another layout appearing at Uckfield is October's Continental Modeller's Railway of the Month - De Graafstroom. Built by Vincent de Bode and two friends the layout will be making its first trip to the UK from Holland. Vincent is probably better known in the UK for his GER P4 layout Flintfield. Picture by Len de Vries The layout is built to P87 standards using 12.26mm gauge track to represent the prototypes 3ft 6in gauge. Featuring various animations including the sailing barge, swan, lifting bridge and of course the sound fitted trains this will be one to see.
  7. The Modbury Torr (TT) entry has alongside it a description relating to Faringdon (P4) which I don't believe is attending?

  19. Leysdown is now in the S-Max ready for its trip to Basingstoke. Hopefully the ex LB&SCR D1 which has featured on all the show's publicity will be running! Looking forward to meeting any fellow RMweb members attending the exhibition.
  20. Visited today - evidence of the heavy snowfall on Friday in the venue's car park and side roads but all accessible with care. Coastal DCC were there as were most of the planned exhibits. Those listed in the guide but didn't appear to have made it were: Layouts: Buckleigh (00), Glynn Valley Tram (00-9), Portwenn (0-16.5) and Titherleigh (00) Trade: Kytes Lights, Masterpiece Figures and Model Railway Bits The layout Herstmonceux (00) I believe had already withdrawn from the exhibition prior to the guide being printed but did feature on some early publicity. However there were 11 layouts, 14 members of the trade and 7 societies/demonstrators for your £5.
  21. Thanks Alan, I took 1094 photographs over the weekend with 488 making it into the retrospective.
  22. Hi All, Just to let you know that the 2019 Chiltern Model Railway Exhibition photographic retrospective has just been uploaded to the CMRA website. http://www.cmra.org.uk/stevenage19.html The retrospective features photographs of all forty layouts, members of the trade, demonstrators and society stands. All photographs were taken over the two days of the exhibition and we hope you find them worthy of viewing? Provisional details of the CMRA 2020 show have also been uploaded. http://www.cmra.org.uk/exhibition.html
  23. Tollesbury Quay was awarded the Denis Moore Cup for the best scenic modelling on a layout appearing at the exhibition.
  24. Unfortunately Peter North had to withdraw his new 00 layout Aerodrome Park from the exhibition at short notice due to him being poorly. Thanks are due to Andrew Jones from the Luton Model Railway Club who filled the gap with the shortest version of his 7mm/ft scale layout the Stodden Hundred Light Railway. I believe Peter has agreed to Aerodrome Park making its appearance at the show next year.
