  1. Morning all. POETS day again. Let's hope we can all achieve it. Jock - I hope that the medication changes work out for you Taz - Thanks for the latest bit of info. Interesting about the trams especially as a lot of places have re-instated them or are re-introducing them Andrew75C - It may be your body telling you that it likes the exercise Have a good day eveyone
  2. I started being educated in 1971. Although I was taught the metric system I believe from the start I am far happier with imperial measurements. I can also remember pounds shillings and pence.
  3. Morning all. A bit cooler today fortunately. Jock - Forgot that you had mentioned that you may not be posting for a day or so due to more important things getting in the way. Tex - The rail history of Tasmania is really appreciated. Looking forward to the next part. Have a good day everyone
  4. I've just read through all of todays posts and haven't seen anything. A bit late in the day, but, Happy Birthday Debs
  5. Morning all. Another bright morning. Jock - Hope the appointment with the Onchologist goes well Not a lot more to say today except that it's hump day. Have a good day everyone
  6. Will. An excellent achievement. Definitely one to read

    BITTON

Andy. In many ways, as others have already said, it's a decision that only you can make. Although I love seeing your builds progress, maybe this wasn't the one to show it warts an' all. It's a great pity that I am unable to offer Bitton a new home. Looking forward to seeing how things pan out
  8. Morning all. Bright and sunny and a bit later than yesterday. AndrewC - Yesterday sounds like a total waste of time, money and effort on your part just for them to tick boxes. I hope that they make a decision soon so that you can move on. Jock - I hope that the bug doesn't lay you low again Tex - Please keep the information coming. It's amazing how much we don't know Have a good day everyone
  9. I honestly don't know whether this post should have an Agree or Like. Probably both
  10. Morning all. A quick visit while I have my first coffee of the day (the first of many). Have a good day everyone
  11. Evening all. Posting now as I'm not sure I'll have time in the morning with a very early start to do a job in Wolverhampton and then onto Leicester before returning home. AndrewC - Hope the HR meeting goes the right way for you Mick - As you say, a fitting end to the 25th year Zebedee time. Night all
  12. I don't have to wait long either
  13. Morning all. Warm and sunny and it looks like it will stay that way. Desperately avoiding anything about F1 until I see the highlights. A few jobs to do today before fighting the traffic as the kids go back to school tomorrow. It's been interesting to put faces to names through photos. Have a good day everyone
  14. The only one I could find. This was done for my work ID
  15. I've been having a look through all the photos I have and I'm not in any of them. Probably because I'm to be found the other side of the camera
  16. Morning Scott. Great to see the boards again and work progressing. I've not seen the NMRA yard layout before and as you say, it will be interesting to hear about other experiences using it
  17. Morning all. After the weather of the last few days, the change to grey and overcast does not inspire me today. Pete - Hope the ear infection is resolved soon. I've had a couple of nasty ones over the years and found them to be very debilitating. Tex - Fantastic set of photos. Another place to add to the list to visit. Ian - Hope you're relaxing but not letting Sherry do too much Mick - Sounds like a great weekend. Hope you enjoy it. Jock - Sounds like your body has decided to re-boot itself. Don't do too much please. Have a good day everyone
  18. Well. The 'E' in POETS ended up meaning 'Eventually'. I only got home at eight. Reason - whoever was meant to do the job I was signing off had f****d it up so I ended up having to sort out several problems first. NHN - A far better man than myself. I don't think that I could have left without saying something. You have my respect. Ian - Great to see that you're back home and able to relax a little.
  19. Morning all. An early start today and hopefully POETS day as well. Sad news about Richie Benaud. Although I am not a cricket fan I knew the name. Ian - Hope you are discharged (in both meanings) today. Have a good day everyone
  20. Jock - Terrible, but as you say, not unexpected news. You are a tower of strength and advice for many people on here and elsewhere. Although I have never communicated with the family in any form, but know of them through yourself my sympathies to her husband and mum. Robert - Trying to compose words of wisdom and comfort in this type of situation is virtually impossible especially conveying the true meaning as well. I'm sure that the words you have chosen will mean a great deal
  21. Morning all from a very foggy ECR. Mal - Great news about your mums care package. It should help her to recover quicker in familiar surroundings Richard - Although always a worry when we have problems with our eyes, at least you had the sort of care that everyone deserves. Ian - Having never been a fan of the TV drivel you describe, you certainly have my sympathies. We can only hope that you'll not have to endure it much longer Ian Abel - Excellent news about Mrs Abel's sight. Once the other is done I can see a lot of re-decorating heading your way Have a good and safe day everyone
  22. A long first day back. Not too much work or driving just too many women with 'Baby on Board' signs in the back window that I believe what they are really saying is 'Sorry, I've never passed my driving test' Just hope tomorrow is better
  23. Morning all. Looks like another decent day. Ian - Hopefully you are fit to be discharged in the next day or so. Jock - Hope you feel better. I am concerned though that your concern for others may be part of the reason that you are frequently under the weather. John - Safe jourmey and I hope that everything goes to plan Baz - Enjoy the break , you deserve it and we can only hope that there is an answer to you problems when you get back Tex - Please keep the information coming. This is one part of the world that I really don't have a clue about its history Localish job today so hopefully a fairly early finish. Have a good day everyone
  24. Either of those should be OK. The problems I had were on the A35 and A31
