  5. He chopped the legs off them, without anaesthetic poor chaps & chapesses needed counselling In case, your curious it's MRP RAF grey blue for the roof & Tamiya XF paints & Flory dark dirt wash the weathering. certainly nicer detailed than the Lima one I weathered.
  6. So, it is with a heavy heart - RIP Grahame . We all ignore the signs - ( including the gp's) we think it's our age or have been overdoing it- please don't. Yes Ian and myself are damn lucky to be with you Just to clarify, they put a load of probes on your chest with an ECG (or EKG) and something happens, it annoys/ frightens you, but hell that 's just your heart - not someone saying there's a rivet that's .002mm out or it's the wrong shade of green. The Echocardiogram is painful, but gives images of your heart to look for damage (thankfully mine was healthy - it was a vein on my left-hand side brain that went pop - high blood pressure).
  7. Just make sure you inform security if your flying, as it sets off the sensors for explosive (GTN contains nitro- glycerine). Works wonders too, I felt like I'd run a marathon after being kicked in the chest when my heart misbehaved, a couple of sprays of GTN under my tongue by the female paramedic (who due to rough ride in the ambulance, nearly gave me an impromptu lap dance), my heart rate slowed somewhat...
  8. I'm somewhat concerned by this and wish @bgman a speedy recovery (he heard about the Vaseline and rubber gloves ) , I think that threads like Rob's and other's should come with a health warning' ' the GWR can seriously damage your Health' in case of emergency use your GTN Spray or call 999..
  9. Time for another delayed update. Rehab has graduated to weathering commissions... A Star Class - Knight Templar (deja Vu, I did one for @gwrrob).. ( the dreaded oil leach - the curse of refined) King Class KHV - had a wonky chimney, sorted. Mainline/Bachmann Collett 60' Coaches. Needed some Major work, as one had an incident with CA.. Now the big Russian Tank.. Hobby Boss Kv-1 in 1/48th Scale - winter camo.. and a build falls rapidly to close - HMCS Snowberry (30 year old decals behaved!!)
