  1. The company who produce the DJH kits, Grandspot Ltd., have been gradually diversifying from just producing model railway kits since I was there some 35 years ago! When I last visited them a couple of years ago, I was told that the model railway market was now only about 20% of their turnover, so why not take advantage of something that might make them money on items that might previously they might have considered as obsolete.
  2. No apology needed. We may be top of our division, but that is deceptive as the NFC East must be the weakest division of the lot, even with the current Superbowl champions therein. Plenty of good action elsewhere to enjoy.
  3. And we too have added ourselves to the list of stockists.
  4. Just 37.425 at the moment, under the reference 32-370NF, or 32-370NFDS for the sound version.
  5. As if to prove what a crazy season this is, my team were the least fancied in the NFC East. However, with the Giants, Eagles and Cowboys now all having played 5 games, and the Redskins after a bye week having only played 3 with the Monday night game against the Saints to come, we find ourselves clear at the top of the division. Long may it last (said with no great degree of conviction!). Also chapeau to the Browns, now having won more games in 5 weeks of 2018, than in 2016 and 2017 combined. I was impressed with Baker Mayfield grinding out a very hard fought victory this week over the Ravens. Although not pretty, it should prove to be a good character builder for the young quarterback going into the future.
  6. TSOs and RFBs now at Bachmann and ready for sending out to retailers.
  7. Excellent news. There are enough distractions in running a model railway shop without all the adversity that Liz and her crew have had to endure recently, so well done on overcoming your recent problems. And long may you continue to prosper
  8. We have it on good authority that the first of the blue/grey Mark 3s is due for imminent release. RB001 and RB001B, the restaurant cars should appear in the shops very shortly.
  9. I don't believe it...in my best Victor Meldrew voice.
  10. What an intriguing round of matches week 3 proved to be. Lots of the better fancied teams struggled, whilst many of the less fancied teams seem to excel. Never expected my Redskins to thump the Packers, and then there is the Lions beating the Patriots, amongst others. But my favourite was Baker Mayfield leading the Browns to victory. Chapeau to a future star.
  11. Is the Iron Curtain being put back up? But just in a different place.
  12. One of my favourite webcams, but I am unable to give an opinion as it is currently dark and is absolutely throwing it down. Finse in it's natural winter habitat!
  13. Very impressive. As someone whose interest is the WCML, this layout ticks all the boxes for me. Looking forward to further posts.
  14. I believe we are still awaiting final details of exactly models will be produced. The liveries are known, but not how many different numbers and any detail differences. Patience, I am sure Ben and Mike will know when everything goes live.
  15. I support the Washington Redskins for the simple reason that when Channel 4 started their coverage in 1982, the Redskins won the Superbowl that season. The 80s were kind to us, but times have been rather lean since. In August 1992, the Redskins played a pre-season game at Wembley, so I left my 3-week old daughter at home with my good lady for a weekend's entertainment. Enjoyed a quick conversation the legendary Daryl Green outside the stadium, as well as seeing the legendary 49ers No.16, the great Joe Montana.
  16. Obviously, the Atlanta Falcons wide receiver requires buttocks the size of those used by Kenny Everett in his Rod Stewart spoof. Then he could have made contact with the ground in the end zone. Good to see the NFL back, now that the cycling and cricket seasons are drawing to a close.
  17. I have just been informed that my R3580s and R3582s are currently on the Hornby packing schedule. They are on their way!
  18. That will teach me to get my re-numbering transfers and etched nameplates in 'just in time' for their release. Wonder what the problem is?
  19. Now this would be a locomotive I would have on my Austrian layout!
  20. How about those who have European catenary up, and don't mind what they run underneath it? My (very) soon to be retired Lima model under Viessmann German 1928-style catenary
  21. For those of you looking to re-number 87.035 when it is released, Railtec transfers have just announced a sheet of locomotive numbers suitable for BR Blue electrics. http://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=3480
  22. The waiting is nearly over! E-mail just received from Hornby to say that R3582, "King Arthur" in IC Swallow livery, is due into Hornby next week. Obviously it may take a few days before they start to appear in the model shops.
