  5. The US Class S160 2-8-0's were never given an LNERly class, you are confusing the WD engines which became O7 in LNERly stock.

  11. At one time, there were several signalboxe working the Goods Lines north of the passenger lines.
  12. A friend and I have spent some time studying old maps, we concluded the Main Passenger Lines were re configured more then once. Thanks, Mick.
  13. Caption as gone missing for above photo'. Yes there was talk of re routeing the Main Line and eliminating 5A Bridge. If done, it would have more or less restored the original formation of 1840, it was 1915 before 5A bridge arrived. The Special Instructions at Hessle Haven signalbox detailed the working of diverted trains via the yard.
