  1. Richard, a lovely model, the GCRly stopped using side lamps on passenger stock 1907.
  2. c1964, I recall seeing a complete train of Southern stock passing through Hull, possibly for Butlins Filey Camp.
  3. Here's the Hessle Quarry layout, and as the name suggests, only chalk was quarried here.
  4. Ernest, wrote an account of himself in a mid to late '30's Model Railway Constructor, he refs to the loss of his to an industrial accident. He also refferred to a young son, and who if still around will probably be ninety or more.
  5. I have seen a photo' or two of steam hauled MGR's, they would as said be empty and would have run as "Class 9" unfitted.
  6. The engine in question was at onetime amour plated, hence the holes in the cab roof, at onetime a Goole engine.
  7. A c1999 photo' early LNERly style, and a more modern pressed steel version. From memory, Howden ex NERly.
  8. A rather crude drawing of the Wilmington Jct layout and signalling.
  9. John, the serial No looks to be 570 or possibly 5451, the price is 2 x x. The box is very faded and part torn. Best Wishes, Mick.
  10. Dear Tim, some of these may be of interest. Best Wishes, Mick.
  11. Tim, if you are modelling 2401 the attached may be of interest, I have many others of the rest of the class.
  12. A similar angle, taken during the final days of construction April 1907
  13. HB and GC Joint Line Bridge No8, lifting mechanism never provided.
  14. Following Rob's comment here are a few photo's of H&BRly Bridge No89.
  15. Bill I'm sure now long gone, to best of my knowledge none left in Hull. I'm told a few still exist in the country and are still lived in. Attached, part inspiration for the project, De la Pole Avenue Hull.
  16. Rob, the problem was not Goole bridge, the line to Thorne Jct was RA9, it was the ex GCRly portion Thorne Jct to Doncaster that caused the restriction this being only RA7.
  17. Robert, with out looking through many old magazine, Three Aitch mid '70's.
