  1. Hi Andy, Is that the currently available Johnson Clear? Thanks Gordon
  2. Chaps, has any one fitted Brians / Shawplan laser cut windows to their Sentinel? If so how, and what glue did you use? I have skimmed through the 31 pages on this log but could not see any conversions to the glazing. Gordon A Bristol
  3. Hedfordtfc, Hams Hall No 9 (RSH 7151) has recently been taken out of traffic on the Avon Valley Railway, Bitton, so if a trip to Bristol is within your means, then I am sure a request to photograph and run a tape measure over her would be met favourable. HH No 9 was the last working steam engine at HH. Gordon A Bristol
  4. If by "industrial" you are referring to the diesel hydraulic version then the cab height, profile and window layout are different. We have an ex military one at Bitton on the Avon Valley Railway. Gordon A Bristol
  5. Why is there a section of the boiler barrel missing in front of the firebox? Do PDK provide a filler section? What is the distance between opposing inside faces of the splashers? Gordon A Bristol
  6. Pictures of chassis build please. Gordon A Bristol
  7. 1 whitemoor, As the cylinders are between the frames I suggest 12" or 13" diameter cylinders won't notice. Gordon
  8. You could always go for EM gauge with P4 wheels? Gordon A Bristol
  9. richard37670 Very nice with the lights. How did you do that? Gordon A
  10. I am still digging around for information on the Clee Hill incline. Thank you for all the replies I have had so far. This is very much an now and then project as time allows. I have come across some photographs by E. J. Dew. Does anyone know where I could purchase good quality copies of his photographs? I have downloaded those that are available on the internet, but would like some sharper copies. Gordon A Bristol
  11. Jim, Good to see you up and around. Where was the miniature railway? Gordon A Bristol
  12. I thought Ration produced a kit of the GWR China Clay wagon? Gordon A Bristol
  13. Have you thought about diagonal bracing to stop your base boards from twisting, or have I missed that bit? Gordon A Bristol
  14. Can anyone tell me what the brown metal saddles are on five of the sleepers in the right hand track please? Gordon
  15. Given that the Private Line is feeding into sidings - not a problem. Not sure if the Private Line would be fitted with a trap point though. Would their locos would have to be registered with the British Transport Commission to run on BR metals in your period? RT Models I believe do an etched oval plate. Gordon A Bristol
  16. David, I think you will find that the use of tungsten carbide tools refers to making the masters, and are not required for the finished product. I have never heard of any resin kits needing tungsten carbide tools to complete or modify. Gordon A Bristol
  17. I understand that Robert of RT models has been taking a close look at this particular Sentinel. Gordon A Bristol
  18. As a comparison here are three pictures of RSH 7141 built 1944. A nice shot of Andy, but the picture shows the rounded style of cab cut out. A front three quarter view from the drivers side And finally a rear three quarter view, showing the curved bunker. This is an early build of this type of RSH hence the detail differences. I think the cut out in the cab back sheet is an AVR mod. Gordon A Bristol
  19. RSH 7151 located at the Avon Valley Railway was No 9 at Hams Hall Power Station, Birmingham, which was part of the Central Electricity Generating Board. At a quick glance 7151 has different side tanks and the cutout in the cab sides are different. Gordon A Bristol
