  1. Ah, but they're still using it so it won't be there long... 😲
  2. 2093 has arrived on shed, seen shuffling about with class 59 No 1489. Managed to win my game on thursday night, against a good player too.
  3. I thought the same at first glance, looks like posts and a wooden rail with a pipe and taps running along the top.
  4. They're tank vents, all have them but looking at photos they're more visible in later days, they must have been trimmed flush with the cab roof in earlier days. See Yeadon Vol.38 p67 top and p77 bottom.
  5. Wasn't playing just watching, league game on Thursday night there though.
  6. Had an hour this morning and got a crew made up and painted, Andrew Stadden as usual. Also now got a lamp, it does come with lamps but they're a bit chunky and they're white so I thought I might as well paint up a whitemetal one.
  7. Hi Pete, Had a quick measure when I got home and they are 3mm. Been out at all the Gs today, Grosmont for trains, Glaisdale for quoits and Guisborough to pick Mrs WF up from work.
  8. Unfortunately no, I was just concentrating on getting it done. Pretty straight forward really, just had to be very careful grinding out the backs of the splashers. Don't forget the tiny RTR axles. It's matching the green paint that would be the hardest bit.
  9. Yes and no, wheels pull out fine but there's a lot to take out of the splashers, almost too much, replacement wheels would be better but matching that paint would be fun!.
  10. Wot the sheep said, looking forward to seeing it.
  11. It is a production one, I think a few boxes were flown over early.
  12. A little light running in after a trip to Gateshead works, class O No 2093 (actually a Gateshead engine) does a spot of shunting across the yard.
  13. Why have one height when you could have two? From - http://disused-stations.org.uk/s/settrington/index.shtml
  14. So they should be, it's a reaper-binder, looks to be a Massey-Harris and certainly not new fangled, they were developed in the 1870s. See one working, an Albion and PTO driven rather than land wheel-
  15. It was always going to make the shore, as your link points out, there were other more mysterious forces at work that day...
  16. Well, not yet, he had one last year and he hasn't had any yet this year. Just think though, 2 Morris the caterpillars* every year! *Choose Caterpillar from your preferred supermarket, but Mrs WFs staff discount wins every time.
  17. Might sound a bit greedy, but I like to have one every year...
  18. Nearing the end of ExpoEM 2023 and 1489 is still putting on a good show.
  19. It turns out they've ground up the old concrete Bracknell and build a new town centre on top, lots of places to eat. Went to a world buffet and now enjoying a decent pint* in a quite nice modern type pub. *Mostly lacking a nice creamy head, but then we are down south...
