Show us yours - Realistic modelling

So they should be, it's a reaper-binder, looks to be a Massey-Harris and certainly not new fangled, they were developed in the 1870s. See one working, an Albion and PTO driven rather than land wheel- -
Aston On Clun. A forgotten Great Western outpost.

Well, not yet, he had one last year and he hasn't had any yet this year. Just think though, 2 Morris the caterpillars* every year! *Choose Caterpillar from your preferred supermarket, but Mrs WFs staff discount wins every time. -

Might sound a bit greedy, but I like to have one every year... -

Yes, seen those.

It turns out they've ground up the old concrete Bracknell and build a new town centre on top, lots of places to eat. Went to a world buffet and now enjoying a decent pint* in a quite nice modern type pub. *Mostly lacking a nice creamy head, but then we are down south...

Hopefully not.

Anyway, after that silliness, a good first day at ExpoEM, layout ran well, met quite a few rmwebbers and 5 people who have walked the line... Now off to see what culinary delights Bracknell has to offer.
-
And good to see you. What... how... eh? First time it's run through turnouts since it's been regauged (so first time through any turnout...) and no issues at all.

You always find another little job to do... This morning I've dry brushed some grey paint on the terrace roof where it was discoloured a bit and spotted that the trespass sign was quite faded so printed another and stuck it on, no doubt find something else to do.
-
Think all the little jobs are done, just need to get it all packed up for the journey south on Friday. Hope to see some new faces there and I'd imagine less people who regularly walk the line...

New car! Well, old car. A few weeks ago I spotted a bag of plastic car kits on a stand at an exhibition for £2, they looked pretty old and the blue printed paper in the bag told me that the kits had been donated to Oxfam by 'the manufacturer' to save them going to waste, the pack was sold for 25p. In the pack were kits for a 1905 Vauxhall (turns out it's a hansom cab), 1915 Ford (model T), 1926 Bugatti, 1904 Mercedes and an 1899 Renault. They looked suspiciously like 4mm scale (they pretty much are) and suspiciously like they had originally been destined for a box of corn flakes which it turns out was right, sometime in the mid to late 70s! They've lasted well with no damage! Ford. Renault. Instructions. What colour? The plan is it will get a better windscreen. Delivery miles only... All in all the Ford has built up into a decent little model, not bad for 40p each!

Pragmatic Pre-Grouping - Mikkel's Workbench

We had a superb afternoon tea there a few years ago, January 2020 I think, amazing place. -
Yes, the magnet is fine it was a pin in the plug between baseboards that had got pushed in, swapping pins has sorted this and it seems to work fine.

Put the layout up in the garage yesterday as there's a few jobs that need doing before it's next outing which will be at ExpoEM in Bracknell on 13th and 14th May. First one done and ticked off was to fit leg adjusters, straight forward screw them to the legs before putting the layout up. This will hopefully mean that the coal depots will be used more, that end was always sloping down and we've never managed to get it level with just packing the legs up. Also at the coal depots end the turnout hasn't been reliable for a while, looks like the pivot on the motor had slipped down, now secured with a couple of dabs of glue. Got Jack into position, drilled two of the horse's legs and inserted wires which fit into holes in the hillside. Next problem to sort is one of the electro magnets that seemed to be dead, turns out the magnet is fine so I now need to find the fault in the wiring. New car turned up!

This thread https://www.rmweb.co.uk/topic/178684-todays-update/#comment-5144551 seems to point to the thread title length, linking to one in M, M & M with a long title. I've also noticed Ingleford Wharf https://www.rmweb.co.uk/topic/167096-ingleford-wharf-in-00-a-mid-victorian-canalside-inglenookand-the-railway-which-serves-it-now-with-extra-added-o-gauge-at-no-extra-cost/page/17/#comment-5152266 has a longish title and is partly extended sideways. Looks like it's trying to keep the title to 2 lines. -
Reminds me of one Arnold Rimmer BSC, SSC.

So how did you sort the missing cassettes?
