  1. Hi everyone, As you can see, production of the silver queens is well under way! Cheers, Fran
  2. Hi everyone, We have sent off the changes to China and they will now be implemented in the production run. We noticed some decoration errors across all three liveries and taking the time to correct them means that delivery has now been delayed until late March as we are about to hit Chinese New Year. We really wanted to get them here beforehand but we rather they're right than rushed. Apologies for the slight delay but we know you value fidelity over everything. Cheers! Fran
  3. Hi Paul, You’re looking at around 109mm (108.92 to be exact!) per wagon from buffer to buffer if that helps? Cheers! Fran
  4. Hi Al, In all the pics we have seen so far the STS grey examples worked in their own rake, but that of course doesn’t mean they did not work with others, we just haven’t seen a picture of it yet! Yes, the CAIB livery was a one off. Cheers for your kind words! Fran
  5. Cracking set of pics, Mick! Here is a pic with the detail pack put in place in addition to the decorated samples on the previous page. All it needs is a tail lamp! Cheers, Fran
  6. The lettering is too light certainly and the lettering itself got a little stretched by China, but these snags have been communicated to the factory and will be corrected.
  7. Hi everyone, Took the PCA samples down to my club last night for a shake down run, also took some closeups to show the detail on them a bit more. Firstly, some close-ups Nice long rake behind my Crompton And finally; a friend brought his repainted 73 so we could recreate this image: https://www.flickr.com/photos/southern_modellers/26139759602/in/album-72157666694657676/ Shocking last pic by myself, but you get the idea and video to follow! Cheers! Fran
  8. Correct! Don’t worry though, we’re making enough to last us a long time, so won’t sell out straight away by any means! Cheers! Fran
  9. Correct Mick, we do similar rake bundles for the Rugby and STS variants too and save a few quid on top, and then the ultimate bundle which is all the Castle, Rugby and STS packs together which has been more popular than we thought! Cheers, Fran
  10. Hi Russellwar, STS Grey lasted from 1982 till about 1990 and Rugby cement lasted from about 85 to around 1990 too. Cheers! Fran
  11. Hi everyone We attended a New Years running day at the The Model Railway Society of Ireland club rooms today and felt it was the perfect time to give some of our pre-production cemflo wagons a run on their running layout. Once again we forgot our brake van, we really need some of those! It's great to see these silver queen beauties run and brings a close to a most memorable 2018. Thank you all for all the support and custom throughout 2018 and we wish you a very happy and peaceful new year. We have plenty coming your way in 2019, including a surprise or two along the way. It promises to be action packed! It's also worth keeping an eye and subbing to our new YouTube channel as we have plans for a lot more video content in the new year, and yes, the production values will be a tad better than below! Cheers! Fran
  12. Hi everyone, Here's a look at the STS sample. Usual caveats apply! Cheers, Fran
  13. Anyone care for some classic electric haulage of cemflos? As a lover of coathangers this has got me all gooey, I wont lie... https://www.flickr.com/photos/blue-diesels/6770065421/in/album-72157624287975395/ Cheers, Fran
  14. Hi Al, There is a black border on them. See below. And yes, there is some small variations on position which we will be catering for. Cheers, Fran
  15. Hi everyone, Here is a first look at a decorated sample of the Rugby Cement PCA! Like the Castle Cement samples shown yesterday, some tweaks are required before production, but overall they look very well! We are doing the full rake of Rugby Cement PCAs, which were iconic wagons during the 1980s, in a very attractively priced rake deal with savings. All the 15 wagons with the different running numbers as per the real Rugby Cement rake. Once again, apologies for the hasty pics, we will take better ones when we get back to the office in the coming days. Cheers! Fran
  16. Hi everyone, We have received the first decorated samples of our forthcoming PCAs from China for evaluation, and very well they look too! Here is a look at the Castle Cement variants, with some of the different types of branding that will be available. A couple of minor tweaks aside they look excellent and are still on course to be delivered before CNY! We will also share some more photos of them with better lighting in the coming days on our office layout! Cheers, Fran P.S - Rugby and STS samples to follow in the coming days so keep an eye out!
  17. His parents are Irish so might try and flog him a metrovick too. Read in his biography that he used to catch rats as a child so maybe 25s are more his bag, hard to know....
  18. Thanks everyone, glad you like them! We just wanted to show our appreciation for all your support and custom over the last year! Cheers! Fran
  19. Hi Les, ESU are confident that they can do the Deltic justice in 4mm with the best sound rendition to date and design input for the chassis for the loco from the beginning, helping create what is the best possible Deltic sound in 4mm. Between that and the spec we are using for speakers etc it will be excellent. Will it rattle the fillings in your teeth? No. but no 4mm sound project can do that! It will be loud and sound like a Deltic, that much we can guarantee. Cheers, Fran
  20. Hi John, The logo is dodgy and will be much, much better on the finished article. That's what these samples are for after all. As for the seams, they look a tad strong in pics but are very fine in reality, silver reflection not helping in the pics with the light, but in the plastic they are very fine. The factory cannot go any thinner either, we have pushed them to his limit. Would love to take the pic you require but it will have to wait till new year as our Christmas holidays has just kicked in! We'll see what we can organise! Cheers, Fran
  21. I would argue that the colour in that photograph isnt great (serious blue hue) but the logo colour is also getting attention.
  22. Santa stopped off a few days early at Accurascale towers and dropped off some decorated samples of the silver queens to us. We havent stopped drooling yet....
  23. We'll save it for just before you go on holiday in summer 2020!
