  1. Hi Matt, Never anything wrong with a bit of blue sky thinking. I have bought undecorated American models akin to kits, with bags of bits, but I note that these are not really released anymore as they werent selling. I absolutely believe that they would not be commerically viable in the British market. When it comes to nose ends, since we're doing high intensity headlights for the mainline preservation era, WIPAC headlights unique to Gordon Highlander for a short period, the unique step for D9000, plated headcode, alpha-numeric headcode, domino headcode, different horn arrangements to name but a few etc etc it seems we are covering all the bases when it comes to nose ends too. Cheers! Fran
  2. I had interpreted it as 'user applied' John, but I wasn't 100% myself. Suffice to say that there is multiple tooling slides for all the nose ends we're doing, of which there are many! Cheers, Fran
  3. Interesting idea, but unfortunately with the different lights required and differences between models, resulting light bleed through joins and the hole question of seams created through push fit parts I just cant see it working I'm afraid. Cheers! Fran
  4. Hi everyone, I took this to my club last night for a spin and it looked lovely running around one of the O gauge layouts with the compensation getting a good work out! Here's a quick video of it in action A few pics too... Production of these wagons is at a very advanced stage and they are due into stock in very early February. More info here: https://accurascale.co.uk/collections/24-5t-huo-coal-hopper-o-gauge Cheers! Fran
  5. Hi 26power, it's something we will try to include in time, but in the meantime I would recommend the excellent Napier Chronicles website for that sort of information, it really is an amazing resource and something we wouldnt be able to hold a candle to! It should help you make your decision http://www.napier-chronicles.co.uk/ Cheers, Fran
  6. Hi Rob, We're working on a solution for that and I imagine we will have news on it by early Feb by the latest. Watch this space as they say. Cheers, Fran
  7. Hi Gary, I completely missed your post, apologies for that. I’ll need to confirm with ESU but if the V4 has it I’m assuming V5 will have it too? Will find out. Cheers! Fran
  8. Hi Richie, No, DCC ready versions will not have the speakers in them as they are higher spec and we feel it’s unfair for those who do not want sound to have to pay for them. We are still working on the EM / P4 wheelsets at the moment but they will be a separate item. When we have news we will let you all know. Cheers! Fran
  9. Hi Ajax, At the moment no as we just do not think that factory weathering cuts it and detracts from our models. We prefer artists here have a go and do them justice instead. Cheers! Fran
  10. Hi Rob, I think you may have asked this question before and it got lost in the ether, apologies for that. The good news is yes, we will be producing it with the different nose step. We are that mad. Cheers! Fran
  11. Hi Legend, I'm pretty sure it will function like any other ESU chip on analogue; where it will play the start up sequence when track power is applied, and as power is increased it will rev through the notches. We will be sitting down with ESU at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in early February so we can get more concrete info then, but that is my understanding. When we get powered samples later in the production process we will demonstrate them on DC as well as DCC too. Cheers! Fran
  12. Hey there, It will almost certainly be part of a future run! Cheers, Fran
  13. We'll have to weather one up to look like that when they arrive!
  14. Hi everyone, We have been reviewing a decorated sample of the 7mm HUO which features the requested improvements and are happy to report that things are looking a lot better! Production is well underway and we are pushing for delivery ahead of the Chinese New Year break in a few weeks time. You know us, we like to move fast! Please note that this is a somewhat hastily assembled sample, fit and finish will be a lot better on the production models. We think they look pretty good! You can see more pics and read about them here: https://accurascale.co.uk/blogs/news/decorated-7mm-huo-arrives Cheers, Fran
  15. Hi Mark, Can you email us your full name and order number that’s on your receipt to info@accurascale.co.uk and we’ll get you set up? Cheers, Fran
  16. We will have 7 pre-production samples in Castle Cement livery with us in Glasgow which we might be able to lend you at some point over the weekend if you’re interested....
  17. So I just looked into it and yes, the engine will start and run but of course you will not be able to access the other sounds on the chip. Cheers! Fran
  18. Good question actually! I don’t know to be honest regarding running on DC, but I’ll ask and find out for you! You can upgrade for sure, just email us at info@accurascale.co.uk with your order number and we can sort that out for you! Cheers! Fran
  19. They're neck and neck! There was more decoration corrections on the PCA than Cemflo and the factory found space to run them concurrently. They may all arrive at once, or with a couple of weeks of each other. Cheers! Fran
  20. Hi everyone, As development of the Deltic continues apace here and in China, we will bring you some significant news and milestones over the coming weeks and months so you can keep up to date with the creation of our first British locomotive. One such item of news is the sound system. As you may know, ESU recorded our sound project for the Deltic last summer at the Spa Valley Railway, in preparation for its release on their as then unannounced new sound chip. We can now reveal that our sound equipped locomotives will feature the new ESU Loksound V5 sound chip when they arrive later this year. Below is some of the spec and info on the the latest chip from ESU themselves, and we are very excited to be using it and all the enhancements it will bring to the model. Of course, while a new chip with more functions, better locomotive control and extra storage capacity is nice, it is only part of the the experience. As we outlined previously, our speaker system will be 'top of the line' and help create the best possible Deltic drone in 4mm. We will reveal more details on this in the coming months when we receive prototype models to test (Which we will film and show to you of course!) but again we are going for the very highest spec and on recommendation with ESU. It's also interesting that in all our pre-sales so far that sound and DCC ready are 50-50 in the sales charts, so we're hellbent on getting the sound as good as we can make it. Cheers! Fran
  21. Hi Bruce, You are correct, our Deltic and future locos will feature the Loksound v5. In the case of the Deltic, the sound recording we did in the summer was with the V5 chip in mind. We can't give away too much yet, but it's part of a package that will help elevate the sound of our Deltics to a new level and one we are very excited about. Of course, speakers are just important, but we have thought of that too, so watch this space. Cheers! Fran
  22. Hi Gareth, Currently in production and in a race with Chinese New Year deadline! Hopefully they make it but we're hopeful as it is a small production run. Cheers! Fran
  23. Hi Steven, Decorated samples will be the next stage which will be assessed by Realtrack soon. Cheers, Frab
  24. Hi Mozzer Models, We have no plans to make any more BR liveried HUO wagons until current stock shifts first. I’m not sure we will do further NCB packs in the future though. Cheers! Fran
