Indeed, DB red locos confined to HS1 is relatively recent, having worked across the UK in DB red for many years before that. I think Electrotren does the Ford wagons in HO, I even think one of the big retailers commissioned some as a limited edition a few years ago? Cheers! Fran

Hi everyone, As you may know we've had rather a quiet week so far! However, it's about to get a bit busier now our O HUOs are in stock! We think they've turned out very nice indeed, but we are a tad biased! As you know, we are doing 4 pre TOPS and 4 TOPS, and they are pictured below in order between A and H. Hi everyone, Just to clear something up here; no company can have ‘exclusive rights’ to the Caledonian Sleeper livery, the branding is controlled by the Scottish Government ( @Ben A can correct me here if I’m wrong about Scottish Government part) and they simply would not allow that. Hence why all model companies can produce models with their branding on them. I’m pretty sure all other operators would treat their liveries the same too. We just seek permission and build a relationship. Cheers! Fran

Hi everyone, It will all make sense in time, but at the end of the day the most important thing is that we’re doing a Class 92 and we will certainly do it justice along with the Mark 5s! Orders have been been brisk so far, we should have prices ahead of Model Rail Scotland for the 92 at least, and once we do we shall confirm them here as well as on our website. Cheers! Fran

Hi everyone, As Phil says all manufacturers have to be respectful of the branding and trade marks of railway operating companies. We have found them very good and indeed helpful when making models. We have secured exclusive rights to make the coaches themselves from CAF in OO and Revolution have obtained them in N, but of course we don’t have exclusive rights on liveries, as then nobody else could make a model of anything in that livery! I believe this is how it works on other models that are deemed ‘exclusive’ and this is why you can have models of Locos such as the 92s from several different manufacturers in the same livery. I hope that makes sense! We have a duty to be respectful to these brands and do them justice. At the end of the day to do the Mark 5 we had to do an all singing all dancing 92 too. It has now given the modeler a choice which can only ever be a good thing. I do think we should just concentrate on the Accurascale 92 and it’s development on this thread from now on and discuss other models of Class 92s on their relevant threads. Cheers! Fran

I remember seeing DB 92s regularly on a steel rail train at the southern end of the ECML when I lived there, also GBRf ones operate regularly across the North London Line in car trains to Dangenham I believe? Thanks for the kind words, Ian! I guess I'm surprised at just how many orders are coming in, which even despite a lack of firm RRP and a bodged announcement have been very, very many! Electric locos seem to be a bit taboo still so we always had a small degree of trepidation, but so far you guys are rewarding our venture into yet another brave new world. Hi Roy, We’re not sure yet re deposit scheme for coaches, but we’ll have a decision made ahead of the pre-order launch. The colour of the coaches will be based on the correct codes provided by Serco and TPE so will be correct on the models. Cheers! Fran
