From European Rail Gen group, it appears 701 has already been withdrawn to provide spares, in particular traction motors, for the rest of the fleet.

    Hadley Wood

It's still in use as stores, and there is one track still inside - it's got a battery tug stabled there for shunting bogies for overhauled 387s.
  5. £40 for a pair of Bristols seemed quite acceptable, but I'm not interested in just the one for that price.
  6. I once went on a date with a girl from the Stock Exchange. I knew it was going well when she started playing FTSE with me under the table.
  7. If anybody wants a list of all the famous Bugs Bunny quotes, I can send it to you as a WhatsApp doc.
  8. Yes. The dropped pin should take you to the remains of the metalwork, though I believe that it is now little more than scrap. https://maps.app.goo.gl/y8tMqFWJLHdD4GBp7
  9. Is that the vapour wear that was previously discussed?
  10. He was also in Marakesh in March/April this year, judging by another thread. Can't afford medicines, hasn't paid for his Zenfolio site, yet nice little holidays to Africa, Asia and America in the last few years... Someone I know knew DJ many years ago when he was a member of their club, and said he didn't trust him back then either. DJ organised a club trip to the Severn Valley Railway and collected payment from everyone. Treasurer got a call a few weeks afterwards asking why they haven't paid the SVR for their trip.
  11. Another option for catenary is Linea Model. http://www.lineamodel.it/palificazione N.htm They come as kits so a bit of soldering is required, but don't look too difficult.

I have a feeling 60009's tender has been rebodied in preservation. You might find something on the frames though.
  13. Also try Tecnomodel in Livorno. Free postage over €99.
  14. And now today, the bizarre site of two locos on one coach! Air compressor failure on Ol49-59 so Pt47-65 assisted.
  15. Seems odd looking at photos from this weekend (and the past week) thinking it should be the parade this weekend, yet passenger numbers are such that only one coach is being used at present.
  16. Ah, I had wondered where the name had come from!
  17. A lady walks into a Geordie hairdressers. 'Can you give me a perm?' she asks. 'Certainly, Madam' says the hairdresser, 'Ah wandered lernly as a clood...'
  18. What about cigarette papers? A couple of thin mist coats should stop them being too see through but still allow enough manipulation to bend them over a washing line.
  19. The centre pivot is just visible behind the air bag on the bogie. You can see it on the drawing too, top line, second drawing in from the left.
  20. Yes, the rectangular slot is for the bogie pivot. It's a sort of curved, pyramid shape. Can't get a decent photo of one, the bogies are pretty cramped, sorry.
  21. I'll have a look at a 717 tomorrow and try and get a photo of the centre of a bogie. And yes, 820mm for full size wheels.
  22. They look very nice indeed. Don't suppose you fancy doing something in 2mm? Please?!
  23. I see your Am 843, and I raise you an Eb 3/5... https://www.telezueri.ch/zuerinews/teure-geburtstagsparty-mit-der-dampflok-mitten-durch-zuerich-133409592 That's one way to celebrate your birthday!
