  1. Probably not. If any mods are reading, can I change my login name without deleting my account, please? I think Adam1701D is going to be the best bet. That way, it will only annoy Star Wars fans. 😉
  2. That's Electra sold and moved on, so please keep an eye on the website and Facebook page for details. I guess I am no longer Captain Electra anymore. Can i change my name to DapolDoodler?
  3. I have used Rail Blue for the ScotRail stripe - a few coaches received this colour, including a legendary pair of Mk3 Sleepers.
  4. 80975 did see use in Scotland in the early 1990s. One of the photos I was given for the artwork shows the saloon behind InterCity Mainline liveried 37430 at Crianlarich in 1992.
  5. Hi Steve - should have everything sorted very soon. I will update the main website and FB page when complete.
  6. Some terrific livery application there, chaps.
  7. These are the first deco samples, so it is early days. The points you have raised and a lot more besides, have been fed back to the factory and we are waiting on the revised samples.
  8. It's amazing what comes back to bite you. 😀 Although they are good bread-and-butter models, there is danger that at least one other manufacturer could be working on a new 37 or 47 in N, so we are going for other models at the moment.
  9. The problem is that the tooling costs for a small batch of coaches would make them prohibitively expensive, given the limited appeal. Perhaps one of the 3D modellers out there could produce a new end/door section to graft onto an existing Mk3? I was working on vinyl overlays foe the Chiltern coaches at Electra before the end, so perhaps these could be resurrected when the new owners take over.
  10. It is a shame that my proposal to rebrand Thameslink 2000 as the West Anglia North Kent Electric Railway Service never came to fruition.
  11. Double-checked and all handrails present and correct.
  12. If there is a second run with Great Northern branding, I could be very tempted.
  13. The interior was fixed, with Gaugemaster sending out replacements for the earlier models. Got to admit a correct 9-car Azuma is going to be very appealing.
  14. I'm planning a visit tomorrow. Hope things have improved a bit.
  15. Going off-topic, I have seen the latest CAD images from the factory and they look phenomenal. The cab detail in particular, is outstanding for N. Still a few minor tweaks to do but this is very much at the top of our development queue. Once everyone is happy, then we shall show some images. Even though I'm more into diesel and electric, I am VERY excited for this!
  16. Not sure about this to be honest - I would e-mail sales@Dapol.co.uk who should know.
  17. Do you mean the black bufferbeam, for want of a better term? I must admit that I am more au fait with more modern stock but looking at some photos on-line it appears the bauxite should continue around the ends, with the black finishing lower down. If this is the case, I will feed this back.
  18. Did you get a reply, Stu? I made some enquiries and this will not be a problem as we have ordered the same amount of replacement bodies.
  19. First rule of kitbuilding, I'm afraid. I'm about to start an O Gauge Class 22...
  20. NSE went through a brief phase around 1987 of omitting the black window surrounds from lots of repainted units, including Class 313, 315 and 317s. They looked terrible and the black was soon back again. It was all over before the revised darker blue / curved upsweep livery started in 1988.
  21. You would need to tool up a new Trailer Second, as well as new underframes for the Driving cars, as these were DC only. The good news is that you could then also use the TS with the 314 to make a 315. You could also model the 508 in original 4-car configuration for the South-Western lines, as well as Merseyside, pre-refurbishment. Depending on costs, could you just get a new end slide done for the post-refurbishment 507/508s - there are some wonderful liveries you could do. At the end of the day, it is making the numbers work. I am sure there are a lot of NW modellers who would be interested but whether that would be enough to make the project viable is another thing.
  22. Not a primitive solution, correcting something that was missed in manufacturing. We will do the fix for the M7 for ay customer who does not feel happy doing it themselves. We are as bummed disappointed by the situation as anyone else. The replacement 156 bodies are going to be in production soon - the reason for the delay is that we decided to correct the shade of orange and this took a lot of attempts by the factory to get right. We have big plans for N Gauge, with at least a dozen unannounced new and retool projects currently underway.
