  1. Well I ordered mine two weeks ago today. Until I have received it I shall refrain from posting my contact (or lack of) with Locomotion on here but they are an utter shambles!
  2. Have you seen this range of street running track:- www.proto87.com
  3. Well I’ve had an e-mail for the balance for my loco and if correct it seems I have been given a massive discount! Wonder if I should tell Stuart!
  4. Looking at the Grosmont webcam tonight (10th May) instead of the 17.10 from Whitby running onto the NYMR tracks it stopped at the Network Rail platform, does anyone know if this was a special working? Also, I notice that steam trains heading towards Pickering show an Express headlamp code instead of a stopping passenger code, does the railway have it’s own set of lamp codes? Brian
  5. If this goes through it will be the end of cheap Supermarket fuel. Wherever there is an Asda filling station prices are quite reasonable.
  6. The only e-mail I know of is to advise the last day to book a model
  7. Well I have paid a deposit on one of the Sterling Singles but apart from an e-mail last week saying the order book closes on April 29th for this model, I have not had a request for the balance. Perhaps Locomotion Models could clarify the situation.
  8. Having looked at this thread and been entertained for so many years, I am sure an invite to your grand opening to anyone will be far more enjoyable than anything Harry & Meghan can muster! Bit worried about your statement about “nothing to the tip”, I thought you had a season ticket to visit, has it run out! Looking forward to the next instalment. All the best, Brian
  9. One things for sure, there are very few (if any) bargains in the lists I’ve seen. As an example Hornby R3430 LNER B12 in Green, Hattons ‘Bargain’ price £136, normal price at Bure Valley models just £120!
  10. Hi Russ P, I know you can put two together ie:- an A & B variant. As you are in North Norfolk you could contact Model Scenery Supplies who are based at Northrepps as they stock the complete range and have photo sheets you can look at. They are based at:- 15 North Norfolk Business Centre, Northrepps, Cromer, Norfolk NR27 9RQ. Telephone: 01263 478010 email:- modelscenerysupplies.co.uk They say you can visit by prior arrangement. I know they will be at the Norwich Model Railway Show at Hellsdon High School in April. Hope this helps. Brian
  11. Many years ago I wrote to Mr. Hardy asking for help on the disc codes and colours used by Stratford based locos. I had a lovely letter back from him with all the information I needed to photocopy, all he asked was could I keep them tidy before returning the originals. I thought this a lovely gesture. His “Steam In The Blood” book is one of my favourites. This is a true loss to all steam enthusiasts. RIP
  12. I’m amazed that some have suggested rolling stock as the TMC forthcoming announcement as Chris Yates in the video clearly states that the model will be a locomotive. There was some emphasis on a tender having LMS transfers put on in the video so my feeling is the loco will be from that Company or one of it’s constituents. As the announcement is in Glasgow, how about the Jones Goods loco.
  13. Your problem of how to resist the goodies would be my problem as well! It’ a lovely place but rather expensive.........or it has been for me as I have yet to come away without one (or two) of their superb models. Always a friendly greeting and everyone is so helpful, nothing is too much trouble and even SWMBO looks forward to visiting. Brian
  14. Rails of Sheffield have all three as a set for just over £165 post free
  15. Wow!! Now to decide which version(s) and how many to get..............with sound of course
  16. If you look on their homepage it says the offers are for personal shoppers only.
  17. Eventually had an email just before 11.00 am. Never mind these new announcements, where’s the N7 from last year?
  18. Well I’m registered with them and have never received any e-mails!
  19. The January 2018 Hornby magazine also has an article by Mike Wild on how to fit sound to this model.
  20. I dealt with APC for over 11 years and not once did I have any complaints. My model arrived in perfect condition yesterday and looks superb. Brian.
  21. As someone else has previously posted, it's a shame that those of us who have ordered and paid for the model have not been kept up to date with the current situation regarding availability.
  22. The staff on the Hornby stand at the Spalding Show said there would not be any new project announcements at Warley.
