though you were pessimistic on this stage of the problem solving, you were optimistic though on the overall timescale of the problem. No mail into the desktop since 16/01. Phone no problem. Even new mail client on desktop does not solve prob. :( At this rate I'll have to contemplate trackbuilding.

  7. hmmm, today has been erased according to the status update thingummy. Anyway, snow? Well we nutted it and went to Stainmore summit, took a skeg at Bleathgill and Belah, paused for a breather at Kirkby Stephen West, rolled on through Sedbergh to Garsdale and then back over Stainmore. My hat goes off to the gangers and linemen who went before and served all year round and in all weathers.

Mark Keefe sent pics out last night with the 9F and a scale model traction engine in snow. We looked but it the site was closed today. Tomorrow is hopefully the lakes for some proper arty nonsense.

"Cabin Pressure" LOL. Ah, but I have the Talisker Talisker...

  9. Thanks for sharing your work with us. Reading these blogs has been inspiring. Things appear achievable to mere mortals without needing six hands and eyesight worthy of GCHQ.. I'm really enjoying this vignette approach to creating a believable model reality.
  10. I'm intrigued by the process of ascertaining the contours of the surrounding landscape when making the internal "ribs" in the boards.
  11. Sorting, sorting, sorting, get those boxes sorted. Lots of stuff found, collated and filed. Dare i get any of it back out to make a mess and finish it?

True, but now the Disney channel has fired up, there's little chance of that, just a dual front attack headache. Still 2 roofs and 6 BB axle guide units in place. :D

  18. a 3" lump of channel rod makes an excellent weighting system for wagon rooves, but left in situ, while improve the road holding makes for bloody awful free-wheeling. 4mm roller bearing axle boxes anyone?

  20. OK. Today was tidying and relocating... appearing industrious and productive, while trying not to get rid of anything. So, how have I lost a 3MT tank along the way?

Aaah, Timothy you are profoundly right yet again. Indeed it was in the last place I looked and, frankly, the last place I expected to look.I'm opening myself to abuse, but what sort of moron files a 3mt tank kit with S&T ground fittings and misc. jigs?

  21. knauf board stock laid in for this year. Now to "file" stuff in the attic

  22. Overindulging, still in progress
