Dave..... you wouldn't be in the market for a d44 competition winch bumper would you? Landrover stuff is one of the things that i can no longer justify keeping.

  5. ooh, a corporate summons...... on a wednesday? Hmmmmm, well this is an unexpected treat: could be innocuous or it could be an incentive to put my collection of Thompson suburbans up for sale. Either way 9am is not groovy.

The Trent at Holme Pierrepont is especially foul - I've paddled the white water course there a few times.

Its best to drink a large amount of cola afterwards to kill of any germs...

Time for drinking tea and reading MRJ, I'd have thought work on Broomielaw would be taking up all your time? S.T

thinking about work on Broomielaw? Yes. Doing....... a slightly lower percentage. Especially as the memory stick with the CAD on has disappeared. Fortunately I've all the notes but its going to be a bummer redoing all that. There is a 1:10 crossing jigged up on top of the printer.... does that count?

  13. how can filing switches be easier than crossings?

  14. 1st pair of "c" switches successfully filed up, they fit up and wheelsets passover smoothly, now to trim switches and closures as a unit.... didn't notice that one had shifted on the template when marking up :( now got a "c" switch/closure unit that is 3mm too short. Time to add wine and remember breathing.

    1. Steve Taylor

      Steve Taylor

aaaah but the third one didn't burn down, fall over or sink into the swamp, its not only a very functional "c" switch...... its a very tidy looking one too :D

  15. The world has far to much dust in it. If we gang up on it and remove the dust, my life would be simpler and I might get home in time for tea and medals. Volunteers one step forward please.
