better than being up to your knees in mud. would love to see the Stones though

  3. Austerity modelling ago-go. In the spirit of the age of Jeffery Osborne, not the RA Riddles WD designs, its see what the fails box can provide to be cobbled together to provide viable projects. So far I"m down one J-72, but up another J-72 and hopefully a j-94 too when the frames turn up.

  4. in all the confusion... I've lost a set of j-94 frames. Though I have to admit I only remembered them when i found a set of wheels marked j-94

  5. Progress or regress? Re-imperial-ising some of the BR wagon diags (ta muchly Barrowmore ;) )

  6. oh mince. I need 6 cattle wagons, two LMS and 4 GWR/BR jobbies. I have three part built LNER kits but none of the others. PANTS

  8. Yesterday: an interview and a bit of 4mm track bashing; today some 12":1' signal mangling.

  9. I like how the bricks are keyed accurately round the corners. I'm looking at doing something similar for a signal box. Is there any chance of posting up a bit of the artwork so I can get an idea of what I should be aiming for? thanks for the update Steve

HT - I think he already has. I think my karma quota may be a bit out of balance at the moment.

BM - I'm sure once I"ve finished Stooperdale to Belah I can find a spare room for you to store Kirkby Stephen if you need. Now everyone get praying 'cos I need a proper job and a proper sized railway room (err suite)

  14. 3 fishplates returned from the bossom of the carpet and promptly glued to the rail with the rest. The day can't all be bad.

Have you downloaded an application form from the interweb?

  16. ooh my ultrascale wheels have arrived. I might not have ordered them if I'd known 4 months ago that I would now be self-employed, but they are possibly even more sexier than the "50 shades of Brown" that was track prep earlier. Is it wrong to think nomnomnom about wheelsets?

    1. Jon020

      Jon020

:-) not if they're ultrascales. As has been said before, they are as value holding as Gold should you ever wish to sell them on!

  20. warning: sound from the process of re-spacing peco flexi track into NER 30'x11 sleeper panels may cause domestic friction. I can't vouch for other patterns though

certainly not, can't back down now... ultrascale have taken my dosh, but a quick photo diorama and experiment board was called for and if its good enough for some esteemed members of the national media then who am i to argue!

  21. I can tell you through experience that coffee grounds certainly do go mouldy but don't know about tea specifically.
  22. /me wonders if there are jobs available for designing application forms laid out coherently in plain english
