3. Has anyone else noticed how these wagons appear a little to be on 'tippy toes', the buffers are just a bit too high in relation to most of my other wagons and locos.
4. So I have received the personal email from Kernow regarding the price rise to £169.99 for the D6XX. It also informs me that by paying in full now I can save £10 and if I retain my order a further 1500 loyalty points will be awarded worth £15 on further purchases. With 3 on order, although the email says 2 ordered (this is an anomaly with the Kernow web site that if items are ordered over the phone they do not show on your order history when logged in) the question now is what to do? The deadline for responses to this offer is 6th March 2017.

7. With all this interesting discussion about the Royal Train working I thought it was about time we had some pictures, not exactly Kernow Today as it was over 16 years ago but the best I can do. So here are 3 views of 47798 Prince William arriving at Bodmin Parkway conveying HRH The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh starting a tour of Cornwall with a trip on The Bodmin Steam Railway. 8. Mrs bubbles2 bought me a metal wall sign which was for sale in The Signal Box Cafe and I had been admiring.... ">http:// This reminds me very much of the cover of a Triang trains catalog I was given age 8 or 9 and spent many hours pawing over. Also a Cuneo paintng (spot the mouse) it rather incongruously depicts a class 40 crossing from Devon into Cornwall. 14. I know there have been other threads on here about the Moorswater cement trains in the past but I'm surprised to see no mention of trains last week on here. There are plenty of pictures on Flickr Moorswater or Bust by Eddie Holden, on Flickr">http://Moorswater or Bust by Eddie Holden, on Flickr I just wish I could get my head around the Realtime trains site to figure out when the next train is running, The Cornwall Railway Society did show this http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/H39070/2016/11/30/advanced for last weeks train but I'm not sure how to raise a schedule for the complete listing of place/times on the Realtimes site, any pointers or info would be gratefully received. Looking at the Realtimes trains site today it appears to show a train to Moorswater today and tomorrow arriving at 13.19. http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/search/advanced/COOMLAR/2016/12/07/0000-2359?stp=WVS&show=all&order=wtt
15. Its a great shame thay have gone for the raised floor interior on a vehicle where the inside is so easily viewed from ever angle, I feel that even painting the floor a darker colour will not adequately disguise this. There I was hoping this would do for single car DMUs what Dapol have done for the Western.
16. https://flic.kr/p/D8UctG Here's a link to one at Shepton Mallet in maroon, difficult to tell if the markings are white or straw. And here is my white metal kit built model posed on my layout. Dapol 'Western'

I may be missing something here but I can see no mention of scale or gauge on the London Transport Museum site so are these 4mm or 2mm scale?

22. Here's the Barnstaple Freightlifter in yellow. http://www.cyber-heritage.co.uk/north_devon_line_okehampton_web_optimised/73%20Chacters.html Not sure what is happening in this picture, looks like some sort of crane jib attachment http://www.cyber-heritage.co.uk/north_devon_line_okehampton_web_optimised/252%20Full%20Loads%20office%20and%20Freightlifter%20Barnstaple.html.
23. Mention of BR magazines by Merfyn in his list of known Frightlifters sent me to search through my own collection, this is what I came up with. ">http:// ">http:// ">http:// and a closer up of the first picture, not wonderful quality I'm afraid, so unable to read numbers. ">http:// Also back in 2011 on page 22 of this thread, scroll down to post #534 http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/920-railway-motors/page-22 And an interesting little story here of how the 2 cabs came about, scroll down to the text under the picture of the BR Freightlifter (near the bottom). http://www.shelvoke-drewry.co.uk/Models.html
24. Please excuse my ignorance, is this a complete list of the BR (Western Region?) owned Freightlifter 100s, were there others on other regions? I guess they were also used by other industries.
25. Certainly a very transitional time. How long did the Freightlifters last in service?
