1. Is there an easy way to show a picture on RMweb without hosting it from another site? I used Photobucket until the problems with that site, I now use Flickr but there are many pictures I'd like to share which I have not added to Flickr.
2. I used marcway for copper clad sleeper strip a couple of years ago, very poor quality in my opinion with widely varying widths in the same lengths of copper clad strip.
3. There was also an article in the Model Railway Constructor in the 60's about modelling this train, I have it in the railway room, I'll try to dig it out. http://cornishmemory.com/item/BES_17_83 Westward ITV train 1961 by Peter Francis, on Flickr">http://Westward ITV train 1961 by Peter Francis, on Flickr
4. Nothing here for over a month now so I thought it was about time for some pictures of an A1A-A1A North British product........ North British, with it's constituent companies had a history dating back to 1833 and at one time had been the world's largest locomotive builders. Alright history lesson over we can get back to waiting for the Kernow model!
5. I have fitted a Smiths screw link coupling, un-sprung to the rear of my 02 tank as there is not enough room behind the buffer beam to fit a spring and split pin, this is coupled over the plastic hook provided for the coaches. The minimum radius curve on my layout is 3 feet and the loco and coach buffer locked so I've fitted 16 inch MJT buffer heads and springs by drilling out the existing plastic buffers. Between the coaches I've used the shortest coupling link provided in the Kernow bag of bits, this works well with the corridor connections just about touching.
6. Kernow Models had some for sale at the Bodmin exhibition yesterday (and maybe today if any left), all liveries I think at the full price, just a few that had been air freighted for the magazine reviews, I will wait for the boat to come in with my prepaid one.
7. I can never understand how these decals are going to sell well when many of the products don't show an illustration of the item you may want to buy, and speaking to traders at exhibitions they say that they have difficulty keeping up with the ever changing range. Is there a list of the reduced items on the web site? https://modelmaster.uk/448-4mm-wagons?p=5

10. Sad news indeed, I have many of Peter's books he was a truly great railway photographer...... I once stood next to him and took a picture, here it is. I bet Peter's picture was better than mine...... Torre station Devon, when I took this I was stood next to iconic railway photographer Peter Gray who's pictures I have often tried to emulate. I figured if I was stood next to the great man himself I must be in the right place for the best shot. by mailrail, on Flickr">http://Torre station Devon, when I took this I was stood next to iconic railway photographer Peter Gray who's pictures I have often tried to emulate. 11. Wadebridge Model Railway Exhibition 15/09/2017 Hope it's ok to post this on what I know is essentially a 12 inches to the foot thread as a mater of continuity from my previous posts. 12. It was good to catch up with you too Bill. The Wadebridge Exhibition is an excellent and I believe much underrated local model railway show with good layouts and great second hand stands at really competitive prices (maybe I should keep that to myself). I was talking to Fred Elton who was selling the books and photos, (soon to appear on Flickr and probably here) when we both realized we had come across each other at the lineside and passed the time chatting while waiting for trains and taking snaps of specials. Fred said to me......"you're the one that follows and photographs specials by motorcycle,"......yes that's me! Here's a picture of Fred in action (nearest to the camera) 17 years ago..... I do like a bit of human activity in my pictures! 15. I'm hoping to be there tomorrow. Its a long time since I've been to Wells although I spent many weeks staying in The Red Lion just off the Cathedral Square during the late 80s on work related training courses. Does anyone know where motorcycle parking is located close to the exhibition location? Something that is often difficult to find in towns and cities you don,t know.

19. I received my Warwells from Hattons today and it wasn't long before the first one was in bits. The deck is a plastic molding which clips and is spot glued with very little glue ( on mine) into the main chassis which is a metal casting with added plastic detail, these 2 main components came apart easily with a little help from the blade of a craft knife. Anyway here are some pictures of the exploded Warwell, hosted from Photobucket so please let me know if you have issues seeing them as some seam to be having at the moment. 21. I have just spoken to Kernow and there is a discount for pre-orders plus loyalty points added which if taken into account brings the price down to under £35 (I think that's correct), they are emailing people who have ordered at the moment. I have asked them to hold back my wagons until the St Blazey stores wagon is also in to save on postage.

24. Are the cast plates transfers or painted? If transfers are they now an addition to the Cambrian Kits transfer sheet or are they available separately.
25. Back in 1989 or 90 the Plymouth Model Railway Exhibition at the Guildhall was a 3 day event opening on Friday afternoon. My nearest national railway station is Bodmin Parkway (although over 19 miles distant from home) but the fare from Par to Plymouth is the same as from Bodmin, so to get the maximum journey time for my money I drove to Par, parked up (no charge in the railway car park then). The local train to Plymouth turned out to be a single car DMU and was the train home for many school children so it was full of young boisterous things no doubt looking forward to the weekend, there was no chance of a seat at the window end but sat in the middle of the car I enjoyed the trundle through Cornwall stopping all stations and gradually emptying of children, and of course the grand crossing over the Tamar across Brunel's famous Royal Albert Bridge. After the exhibition and clutching my brown paper bag containing a healthy selection of Colin Ashby, Mail Coach and Ian Kirk kits I returned to North Road Station and jumped on the first west bound HST only to find we sailed through Par without stopping. On arrival at St Austell I crossed the bridge to the up platform to find a sprinter 150 or 153 unit with the doors open so jumping on I found I was the only passenger on board, both the crew looked back from the cab seemingly in astonishment to see someone board their train, but no ticket was asked for (which was just as well!) and I was duly deposited at Par branch platform to regain my road transport. I think this train back to Par would have been the Falmouth branch train returning to St Blazey for servicing having worked the branch all day, I still wonder if it was a public service train. Sadly I took no photos on the day described above, I'm not sure why but below are a few of my single car DMU snaps fom my Fickr site.
