  2. You're not suggesting that a retailer might be listing something as a bargain that actually isn't? Shame on you...

  5. I've just noticed today that there is a TV series on the That's TV Freeview channel called Trainspotting which features an hour's footage footage of the railways in the 1960s. Today's episode was called Waterloo Sunset and was unsurprisingly about the lines out of Waterloo from 1958 to 1967. There was lots of nice footage of the various Spam Cans and their cousins and even some footage of the USA Dock Tank. I don't know what is the source of the footage, but there's going to be some future episodes about the other regions. The next episode is Steam In The Midlands Monday 15th Jan 13:05 and then Bewdley to Blaenau Tuesday 16th Jan 13:05. Unfortunately it seems that there are eight episodes and most of them have already been shown. 😠
  6. And it looks like there's quite a few of those Sainsbury's Beef containers on the train as well.
  7. Perhaps they just want a bit of a gap between the release of Heljan version and the EFE version to give it a chance of selling well ?
  8. This is utterly shocking news. I wonder if losing Bachmann sales has had a bigger impact that they expected and I guess that Brexit has probably had some impact as well, but I would have thought that the sheer size of their business would have made them immune to most of the ups and down of the model railway business. If they can't survive then how are the smaller retailers coping I wonder?
  9. When I took pictures of the estate in 2007 I took this one and I always presumed that part of the bridge was used for railway tracks which your picture confirms, but I never realised that there were tracks on the other side as well.
