  1. A quick snap from today’s arrival...

    N gauge Class 50

That is a problem unless you have been stockpiling mark 1s and 2s since they were released!

    N gauge Class 50

Running is superb, NEXT18 DCC ready with separately controllable head, tail and cab lights. if you only run DCC you can still isolate tail lights using switches on the PCB - this and the DCC socket are accessible through a removable hatch on the roof. There are some errors in the shape, but you can’t fault the running.
  4. 3-305, by the looks of this: http://www.2mm.org.uk/products/drop-in-wheels.html
  5. Phenomenal. That is really, really impressive!
  6. Has anyone raised this on the Dapol Digest forum yet?
  7. Cracking layout! Glad I’ve stumbled across this one, being down the road in Herefordshire. Great era of interesting traffic along the marches!
  8. Ah, I hadn’t realised the westerns and 67s had been done; sorry. In fairness with the 33s done too they are rattling through the back catalogue (I think HSTs remain 6 pin though). The triple grey liveries were Dapols weird greeny-grey and were shifted cheap on their newsletter for a while that’s true.
  9. I don’t see a rerelease for these anytime soon as they seem to be redesigning all diesel chassis for Next18 sockets, controllable lights and better reliability on the rereleases that have done since the Class 68 - I don’t think anything 6 pin has been released since?
  10. Well, I’ve finally taken the plunge and converted my first loco - thanks to association drop in wheelsets, an absolute doddle! Awaiting for my easitrac delivery (including a pegged turnout kit) and one of sample packs 16 tonners to have a bash at next!

    That’s a cracker!
  12. Thanks for the mention of my class 37 lowering mod. Delighted I could help (in a small way!) with such a spectacular layout!
  13. Mine arrived today thanks to @Derails Models - it’s a cute little model!
  14. Not to mention the amount of Dapol locos on the second hand market with burnt out lighting, the dodgy wiring , the loose DCC sockets etc etc... I’ve found Farish almost bomb proof in comparison!
  15. Thank you for sharing such inspirational modelling with us all. Have a happy Christmas!
  16. A strange one this for me. I had Railfreight grey on preorder and was genuinely excited to receive the model, only to be left feeling underwhelmed. I agree some of the front end detail is subtly moulded to the point of undernourishment - it doesn’t have the star quality of other newish Farish releases such as, say, the Class 40. I can’t put my finger on what’s wrong - it certainly looks like a ped and runs beautifully.
  17. All are looking very smart, but the RES 47 especially. I’m a big fan of that livery!
  18. Just weighing in with a message of support to a new entrant to the UK N gauge market - It’s certainly a distinct prototype and I’m sure these models will prove to be much more successful than the original design was!
  19. Stunning photos as always. Really flying the flag for realistic n gauge! Any details on the locos you are working on, or will all be revealed? Do you plan any mods on the Farish 87 or are you generally happy as is?
