  1. Any tips for painting the window frames? Lining pen or steady hand and a small brush? Great work as always!
  2. Thanks for the heads up Tom. I have bitten the bullet and paid upfront for my ARC example; it’ll be a treat when it arrives!
  3. Morning, can anyone help with rewheeling Dapol IOA / JNA (and Farish MAO) wagons for 2mm? Is there a suitable wheelset available as a straight swap? Thanks!
  4. Not sure when Dapol will release provincial 156s again but I did spot a RR 153 in the cabinet at Hereford Model Shop if it’s of interest!
  5. how about a low relief factory / warehouse but with broken and boarded up windows. That would compliment the lifter track and air of decay of the late 70s / early 80s nicely!
  6. How’s this one coming along, it’s gone a touch quiet? I’m very much looking forward to getting hands on one of these ugly brutes.
  7. I’ve also found this image and it makes a wonder cameo layout idea. @Rivercider should be able to help with some background info!
  8. Great models as always and a soundtrack I approve of! 🤣
  9. I’ve a feeling this is going to be a bit special…
  10. Your consistency of finish is sublime. I’d love to see a mega line up of some of your locos, you must have quite the fleet! seconding the call for a bookazine here. There’s a huge amount to learn about detailing and weathering of the diesel era in this thread!
  11. Really wonderful weathering. I’m a huge fan of this thread!
  12. Here’s hoping the 03/4 means a DCC ready 08 chassis will make an appearance sooner rather than later too!
  13. The plastic horns look super flimsy, and it’s a common thing to find older models with them broken or missing; do any suppliers make a brass replacement?
  14. Can I ask where you source your replacement wipers? They are certainly a bit thick on the Dapol 56. Cheers!
  15. The underframe on your pacer looks especially realistic, very impressive modelling as always!
  16. I would argue Dapol’s quality has some way to go to best Farish; but each to their own.
  17. I junked the cabs. But with some filing you can refit them, as @yaxxbarlhas shown above. Happy lowering!
  18. You’ve captured the era perfectly, I love this layout!
  19. Such a great layout. The consistency in colour and high standard of modelling across the whole scene really make it a stand out in n gauge.
