    3. halfwit

      halfwit

Mick, do you want to chop up James May (entirely understandable of course although the other two should get it first) or a wind turbine? In which case an axe would be somewhat unsuitable.

  4. Class 66 fuel gauges - not to be trusted! Bit of a close call last night...

      Baby Deltic

Some decent citizen hit my car and bu99ered off recently, two days after I had got it back from body repairs following a previous mishap. I know how you feel when it costs you your own insurance claim.

  18. Enjoyed one of the best days ever on the SVR yesterday with D821 and D1062, especially once darkness had fallen... I can still hear those mighty Maybachs now. Deep joy, well done the DTG & WLA!

    1. Dave47549

      Dave47549

D9520 was good value also. Couldn't cover the evening trains due to lack of babysitter. 50031 did exactly what was expected of it, pop!

    2. Rugd1022

      Rugd1022

Well at least the 50 behaved like they used to on the big railway! Had a storming late evening run with D821 heading north before the rear engine gave up... for a brief moment it was very easy to imagine it was going up the Cornish Mainline in the dead of night at full pelt. Top stuff.
