Damn those cable thieves!!! Temporary Block Working between Daw Mill and Nuneaton again today causing no end of grief for passenger and freight alike. Clamp down on the b*gg*rs at the receiving end and the thieving toe rags will have no excuse to nick the cables in the first place.....grrrrr, etc...

Enjoyed one of the best days ever on the SVR yesterday with D821 and D1062, especially once darkness had fallen... I can still hear those mighty Maybachs now. Deep joy, well done the DTG & WLA!

Another birthday in the bag and another year that's flown by... where do they all go? Daft thing is, I can remeber things from nearly forty years ago quite vividly, but forget what I had for tea last Thursday...

Just had a nice drive round the Cotswolds, taking in the good Captain's beloved OWW and the Stratford - Cheltenham line. Not to mention spending £70 on books in the shop at Toddington! Smashing ;o)
