    Not read it in a long while but found it an enjoyable read along with 'Steam Was My Calling' by E.S. Beavor. Other similar books to look for are the D. Bradford Barton Ltd 'railwayman's memories/reminiscences' series. I think I will get them off the shelf again when the cold winter nights start to draw in.

    An on-on switch does not function the same as a passing contact switch which only gives a momentary pulse when it is thrown.

    I had some items from Wizard Models on my shopping list for when at the October exhibition in Wigan but sadly found they are not now appearing. I made an online order on Thursday afternoon and my items arrived well packaged this morning. Excellent service.

    The internet itself is not free. Virginmedia are having a laugh increasing my basic broadband only package to over £40 per month. Time to look elsewhere.

    My local Home AND Bargains only has UHU, at £1 per tube. I recently saw this on a traders stand at a local exhibition for £3.00
