  1. My understanding is payment will be taken when they are ready for shipment, much like a pre-order.
  2. I have a mk2 version of a B8 point. I haven't look at it yet, but I can post a photo of it this evening.
  3. One must remember that Wayne also has a life and family. Sometimes, products will be slow to market.
  4. I find that brass wadding works well, Cav. I also use a brass dipped cotton bud for some areas.
  5. Simon, Thanks to your advice about picking up the odd bargain here and there, I have acquired a pair of Dapol DMU's - a 153 & a 156) for a combined total of £90 including P&P! The repair bill for both comes to about £12. Anyway, your DRS 20 looks like a very interesting project and one I will follow with interest. Are you a member of the N Gauge Society? It would make for a great article in the Journal.
  6. Section removed - I should've said duck egg blue for the small cab panels, not sherwood green. Oops! D8243 probably had full yellow ends when in service, as this photo shows it wore the original two-tone green livery as a carriage heater in 1978. Edit: Just found this website which states: D8243 new 02/61, w/n 02/69 - FYE, small arrow logo, original numbers with 'D' 01/67. (Into departmental stock as ADB968000). No data panel when withdrawn. After use as pre-heating unit, loco cut up by V Berry, Leicester 02/91
  7. It was certainly light green in 1981. It was dark green by February 1985.
  8. I thoroughly enjoyed the first video*, Carl. I do not remember this era (I was 2!), but I see that 'flailing' was part of a rail enthusiast's repertoire - 2:00 in on the first video! *I haven't seen the second one yet!
  9. On an AGA 156 to Norwich. Thud thud thud thud thud...

  11. Excellent stuff. I'm surprised at how many models are sold on because they 'do not work'. It seems that a little bit of repair work is beyond many people!
  12. I've just seen it in the newsletter part. I'll be in contact with you later on, Grahame.
  13. My copy arrived this morning and I've already read it. Grahame, I noticed a couple of grammar/ spelling issues. Perhaps a request for proof-readers to help lighten the load would be useful? I'd be happy to help out in this regard.
  14. Off sick thanks to an Asthma attack on Tuesday. The result is that I am pondering a model of Reedham in N using Tim Horn's laser-cut baseboards..

      It's very tempting, Pete.

  15. The lack of coupling rods suggests they are being transferred.
  16. Enjoyable day visiting the NNR to see the Y14. Great Eastern blue is a lovely livery.

  18. Crikey. That's a serious feat of engineering, Maurits. I'd be worried about losing entire trains on that layout! I'm very impressed with both the level of craftsmanship and the speed on construction!
  19. Tomorrow looks like a lovely day for a 100 mile cycle ride around Norfolk.
