  1. Yes, just seen em Terry...excellent stuff!! I can see why Jinty likes your 47 shots. Dave
  2. Quality , as per, Terry. I just posted on my thread, that I've been looking forward to an update on Glebe Rd. and you've already done one. Must say, the Intercity 47 at the foot of the retaining walls caught my eye. Very tasty indeed! Dave
  3. Much appreciated chaps. I'll check out MsIm David, thank you for that...one shrink ray on it's way. Glebe's a Classic Terry......I'm waiting, like most others, for an inspiring update...!!! The KFC is a kit from way back, can't remember by who, with some KFC stuff added. The terraced houses are modified Pocketbond, with the windows drilled out and the Bachmann Terraces. Yes TBF, the 3 detached houses are scratch built. Dave
  4. Many thanks chaps. You're right about the signs Jaz. Perhaps a couple of thin plastic srtips, or some insulating tape cut into thin strips, might do the trick. The only other thing that bugs me is the satin sheen on the road and footpath caused by the Railmatch 'Matt' varnish. After applying road marking transfers I give everything the once over with this varnish to seal it. But you don't always get a matt effect. I know mixing thoroughly, before applying helps, but I did this time and the result was not what I wanted. Then again, on other occasions , ie the station platforms, it worked well. Quite hit and miss, it would seem. Still, lets pretend we've just had a downpour at Minsterley. Dave
  5. Well, you put me onto where I can get Corsas, Peugeots, Kias, BMW's, Galaxy's, Mondeos, Focus's ( should that be Focii ??), Modern Minis, Fiestas....etc......and you can have my Shrink ray!! Dave
  6. Latest progress on the scenery. Second townscene section nearly complete...just road markings and street lamps to position. Back-aching stuff, cant wait til I go back to running the trains! Any suggestions as to where I could purchase some Modern Image cars, would be much appreciated? Dave
  7. Quality, as usual,Jaz!!! Nobody eats me,Mr T!!!! Dave
  8. Thanks Jaz. Still plodding on with your speciality at the mo....scenery...aka the housing estate. Once that's complete, it's back to the trains. Dave
  9. Well I know the bloke at the Minsterley Planning office, very well. 8) You can see right over on to the main line from the 3rd floor up. And talk about amenities....KFC right across the road.....a Mecca for any rail buff. Yes, I have seen that garage...fantastic isnt it. Would slot in nicely on my next scenic section. Thanks Terry, just got it positioned above the Station and wired up tonight. Dave
  10. Well, I'm sure if what you've done already is anything to go by, the remainder will look first class. Dave
  11. That garage is a work of art. Envy, envy, envy, envy... Highest order stuff James...brilliant! Dave
  12. Many thanks David. Much appreciated. It's slow going, but once it's done...it's done, I suppose! Hal, Ah... the Real-deal.....much respect. Fine Art is, in the literal sense, awesome!! Talent trumps a computer, every time. Your layout will benefit from it,I'm sure, scenery wise. From your thread, it looks as though you have quite a bit of track down already. Is there much left to do? Dave
  13. Are you drawing it using computer software? Did mine on a form of autocad and being able to use the offset function makes parallel curves breeze. Transitions too. Dave
  14. Yes, I have seen some layouts where they have lit their vehicles and it does look good. Like you say, a hell of a lot of work, but probably worth it. Another thing is trying to get Modern every-day cars. It seems only the cars Jeremy Clarkson would test drive are available and not say a Fiesta, Peugeot, Kia, Dacia, BMW...etc.....something you would see every day on every UK road. Transits dont seem to be a problem though. Dave
  15. Many thanks Hal & Brian. Hope you enjoy the rest of the vids Brian. That Deltic with the full rake sounds very tasty Hal. Have a soft-spot for semaphores myself, but cant really justify one in this era. Been plodding on through the week with the Town-scene around Minsterley Staion Building. Not my favourite task, but has to be done. Just finished wiring the street lamps and building lights, so will test them out later. This is the 'city' side of the scenery, the other side will be a housing estate. If I had time I'd try and scratch build a supermarket....might get round to it at some point. Dave
  16. Cheers Ralph..glad you like em. Toiling away with the town-scene at the moment..so no trains recently..but its coming on. Dave
  17. Cracking box...I think themodel looks better than the real thing!! If I'm in need of one for Minsterley.....Freebs will get the order! Dave
  18. Love the 08....or is it an 09 down there...on the 'not so silver' bullets. That signal box brings out my jealousy too... 8) Was watching a vid yesterday, put me in mind of DP, for obvious reasons.......didnt know there was another Dover station. Is it still there or has it closed?? Getting carried away with this video malarky..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2mGu4mH_AE
  19. Well...I've had some help from here and there.....you know.... 8) Dave
  20. Another vid. from last nights running session. Class 60 with HTA hoppers at the signal and a class 150. Dave https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RPQUKre4Xs
  21. Well many Thanks Jaz....the feelings mutual when I browse Arboretum/Kalborough. Hoping you and Kal have a GREAT Christmas & a Happy New Year Ps......hope your feeling better now
  22. That container train is the longest. When it emerges from one of the Portals of the Eastern tunnel, the back of the train is still entering the other portal! The GNER 225 is 7 coaches long and a DVT. The class 91 has been 'leaded-up' and now weighs a metric tonne which I find is just enough to get the coaches maving at a good speed. Dave
  23. These pics are exceptional. I know its been said before... but I really did have trouble telling them apart from the real thing. Are the units you have Class 466 or Electrostars? Dave
  24. Many thanks Alex, much appreciated. Yes David W, it is great fun to operate....gets a little tricky to video it while operating the locos and signals all at once though.. Mr T, I think you're a mind-reader.....been wondering how to get the Youtube vids to come out on here in that Picture format. Nice one!! Dave
