  1. Evening all from Estuary-Land. Arthur Itis refuses to go away so shortly I'll be stretching out on the bed for a couple of hours, hopefully it will send him to sleep then I can get to sleep myself.
  2. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. Arthur Itis has been banging away since this morning, co-codamol and Voltarol gel seems to have no affect at all. The only ease is to lay flat on my back which is not a good idea as I can't do much laying on my back. Time for dinner, lets have a look in the fridge.
  3. Back on topic, this is Hattons and Hornby compared. (Ignore the funerial music.)
  4. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Arthur Itis had a real go last night and I only got a couple of hours sleep. The joints were seized up so much that I could barely move. However as soon as I started moving about the joints loosened up, Ibuforen has been deployed. My printer is a few years old (about twelve IIRC). The difference is that it is a commercial model that you wouldn't find in the likes of Currey's. I ordered it online after discussing it over the phone with the salesman. The size wasn't obvious from the illustrations and when it turned up it was a bit of a shock as it is about four times the size and weight. Despite that I'm glad I bought it and I haven't had to even refill the cartridges yet, not surprising as they are enormous as they are bigger than a video tape cassette and hold a lot of ink.
  5. Or two bald men fighting over a comb.
  6. I've posted this before but I think it was before RMweb went down and most photos were lost.
  7. You don't mean Hewlett-Packard printers by any chance? My printer is a Lexmark X543 laser printer. True that the cartridges cost a lot more than most other printers but the cartridges are enormous compared to other makes. What is more they sell you the ink to fill them when necessary, none of this having to buy replacement cartridges from the maker. One problem though it uses a lot of lecky.
  8. Evening all from Estuary-Land. Arthur Itis is away at the moment put still likes to remind me that he's still there. As a point of interest paper banknotes (£20 and £50) will shortly cease to become legal tender making the polymer banknotes the only legal banknotes. I noted that the commemorative stamps for the Queen did not have the Kings silhouette on them. Whether this is deliberate or the actual silhouette hasn't been decided on remains to be seen.
  9. I do miss the GROAN! button.
  10. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. @Kelly I misread your post above at first and I thought you were referring to Richard himself and not his washing machine! A sigh of relief all round. I'm sure some ER's can provide plenty of dog hair. Especially those with long haired dogs and a vacuum cleaner.
  11. My watch is a Citizen Eco-drive, I bought it a couple of years ago when its predecessor gave up the ghost after about 25 years. The best thing about them is that they are self charging and you never have to replace the batteries. They are expensive to purchase but given the £25 cost of replacing batteries they are a bargain.
  12. As long as it isn't electrified.
  13. My friends dog, a Scottie/Jack Russel cross cannot resist chocolate. She has snaffled chocolate on at least three separate occasions to my knowledge. Fortunately no damage was done except for the vets bills.
  14. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Nearly overslept this morning, woke up for a number 1 about quarter past 6, decided to go back to bed for half an hour... An hour later I woke up. Gardeners may be pleased but the long hot dry summer has drastically reduced the slug population. Its causing concern as only about 20% of the 40 slug species in the UK cause damage to plants, most are actually beneficial. I have also noticed that this year there's not many ants around this year and I have seen none of the flying variety at all.
  15. Yes, they are rather basic as kits go but with a bit of detailing can be made quite presentable.
  16. Evening all from Estuary-Land. I was feeling peckish and went to the fridge and there found a bread pudding that I brought at Tess Coes today and forgotten about completely. Well at least I'm not feeling peckish any more. I don't eat fish and chips as much as I used to, not so much because of the cost but the difficulty I now have in walking.
