Had a buyer who did not pay. so did the usual, cancelled the sale and blocked them from bidding. They started bidding for my items under a new user name. Also had a habit of when they did pay of waiting till last possible moment under eBay rules to make payment, meaning an extra run to Post Office. (Pick up by postie not suitable for me).

Recently, correctly addressed letter (including our post code) from local hospital in Exeter ended up sitting on a mat in Greater Manchester in a similar named road for 2 weeks whilst occupants were on holiday before they placed it back in postal system for delivery, (Which is currently twice a week here).

Even further back in the early 1970's I was told that one of the school's "approved suppliers" on the list provided by the Local Education Authority (LEA) paid 10% of spend back directly to the LEA.

. In 2009 Disney World selected the Wiltshire town Swindon as its twin town. Swindon was in competition with 24 other British towns including Brighton and Blackpool. The Disney executives made their choice not by visiting the town but by watching a promotional video that was put together by a town resident, made up of clever similarities between the town’s Magic Roundabout and Disney’s teacup ride, or its cinema and Disney’s Hollywood studios. “She made us laugh”, said Dave Coombs, a Disney World spokesman as he recognised the ingenious example of public relations that the town had created.

Another issue is that it will be a US Wi-Fi interface which has some differences from the EU/UK specification, hence no CE marking. which might affect importing it. -

Heating Oil could be handled on a team track with a simple portable pump to transfer to road tankers, using the tank car as a bunker. Dependent on period, a small ramp / platform against the team track opens up the use of automobile box cars, or gives fork lift access to box cars for cross platform transfer, and a means to off-load flat cars from side. Providing a small pit and auger on the team track would allow bottom discharge hoppers to be unloaded giving coal or aggregate traffic as a possibility. -

Coupler Height Gauge - As long as all your stock is at the same height no issue, you can use one car as the "standard" and reference to that. However using the Kadde gauge, you can determine who is following the recommended height A pair (i,e, one) trip pin pliers is of use where you need to tweak the height of the trip pin, although if not using magnetic uncoulpling some users remove them. Metal Axles ; Issue is not the metal axles, more the plastic wheels in terms of track cleanliness. -

I keep a few Kadee "Underset" & "Overset" couplers to cope with these situations. -

Dependent on period, box cars were used for grain, so 40 ft box cars would be prototypical. Also, in addition to the methods of moving cars, add electric winch, possibly more likely at a small facility. -

Along with everything else I usually pack a "snack bag",of biscuits etc, so even if the said does turn up, I have an alternative. Lesson Identified and Learnt As I was working away for a couple of weeks,, the club layout I was taking out for a Saturday could only be collected on a Friday Evening., so asked if it could be tested and checked out by someone on club night and packed. Picked it up, on set up found loose buildings missing, Had to service every loco (wheel clean and light lubrication), as none would run after I cleaned track, Had full set of working locos, (but never worked out why DMU would only operate one way round) by mid-morning after a stressful couple of hours, and I arrived well before show start. Would never be responsible for a layout that I had not had set up and checked along with rolling stock prior to a show ever again.

Reference, Bishops Cannings and facilities, due to the presence of a racing stables near by, have the directors considered the provision of suitable facilities to handle horse traffic in order to tap into this lucrative traffic ? A short loop to enable traffic to be worked in either direction ? -
