  1. Morning Steve The new ones are ready made but the flint ones the other side of the road are scratch built. Very few if any Norfolk flint buildings available
  2. Thanks Phil and Rob, the house is a pair of Hornby victorian terraced houses but to me a pair looks like victorian semis that are quite common round here
  3. I've been and taken some clearer pictures of the new extension
  4. Been away since Sunday, will try and get some clearer pictures in next couple of days
  5. Hi Steve Thank you for the kind words. There maybe some older pictures on YouTube https://youtube.com/@maestromanification?si=FkOCZBbQu4limjel Cheers Russ
  6. Finished this section today. Apologies for slightly blurred pictures for some some reason camera was in food mode, cabbages are probably in focus!
  7. Cheers Steve I think extending the scenery by 12in adds a lot more depth to the village scene
  8. A while since I did an update on my layout. I've got some bookcases and decided to have a scenic extension to the village. Still another section to complete. I've added a carpark, victorian villa together with a small section of heathland and wheat field. Next to do estate cottages and a crop field
  9. People who live near railways say you get used to the noise. But no way in those houses could you sleep through those horns as nice as they sound! Hope they haven't got pets
  10. Great pictures David, as is usual for current railways in the east Midlands those views are vastly different today because of unchecked vegetation
  11. He's a good bloke had a good chat with him at the NEC he's hoping to feature some of my cars
  12. I've seen hub nuts video he liked them. That cortina sounds horrendous! Leyland Australia had some very interesting cars such as the nomad and kimberley
  13. Performance figures very disappointing only 110bhp and barely tops 100mph I'd like to raise the compression and fit 3 DCNF carbs from an MG maestro to one. Performance would be quite good before the first gentle curve and it understeers into a tree!
  14. Sad but true John. Shame as there isn't many disc fitted ones that survived
  15. Such a shame that's going for scrap, but apparently worn tyres. Surely there's some wreck with decent tyres that could be swapped with this
  16. This started as 15in line then changed to 18in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sand_Hutton_Light_Railway
  17. Is there actually a system available for vacuum brakes and only battery voltage from dynamos
  18. Excellent pictures David. Other than the steel halt one the scenes are virtually unrecognisable now not only because of the demolition of Thornaby shed and cargo fleet station but trees and vegetation have taken over in last 30 years
  19. Some cracking pictures there Rob especially the railcar trailer and the Atlantic. That can't have lasted in service long after that
  20. The 68 picture can't have been long after lorries replaced the aerial ropeway. Never seen pictures of ballast wagons there before. The stone for iron making was quite fine. Not great to stand on the leading veranda of the van and used to blow in your face when propelling the train from castle hills to Northallerton Station at a fairly brisk speed. Hard to believe its over 30 years ago now
  21. Fantastic. That blue HLE metro has got some strange accident damage
  22. Had a good play with the 37 I'm really impressed with it. Instrument lights may be a dad bright ror early locos maybe you should offer an option of a figure with working bardic lamp in his lap so he can see the speedo! Something that will be familiar to anyone that's driven 37s
  23. Just unboxed D6704 looks really good Couple of questions , is there an AUX function on prodigy advance? And is there any way of getting rid of the silly AWS horn every time it changes direction. If doors and windows are closed you would never hear that outside and it only happens when changing cabs
  24. Interesting picture Mick. Did that boom gate interlock with something seems to have an extension of some sort Does anyone know if powered ones were separately operated or did they alway work in tandem? I've got a crossing that currently has 2 manual gates on a double track line. But having found that there was a set on the GE mainline in Norfolk I fancy modelling some
  25. The 37 is on the tanks from haverton Hill. Used to return as 6E20 I used to work it regularly from Wakefield kirkgate to haverton hill
