  1. Other than XPT there weren't any tropical options for HSTs which I think will bit them on the ar$e in Mexico and apparently now Nigeria
  2. I haven't read anything with it to say it isn't. I've used railmatch aerosols and it was fine
  3. Amazing work there Paul, can't believe how fast you are progressing
  4. I bought a folding spray both with lights a few years back I seem to remember it being quite cheap as I had gathered parts to build one including a filter from a mk3 coach aircon system Beauty of is it folds away when not being us3d
  5. My missus has an MG3 bought not because its an MG as it isn't. It was bought as its a simple car and easy to service and it has a chain Bloody cheap Chinese crap steel chain. It stretched to the point where timing was affected and a pig to start Not an easy job to do either, I bought a modified kit and a local garage fitted it but ended up over £700 I did briefly consider one as a daily but got a ZT CDTi instead far better car
  6. I seem to remember one of the books making reference to the hymek having an exhauster failure and needing assistance from Henry
  7. With regard to 3 cylinder engines I had a corsa hire car with one last week , absolutely hateful thing.. It was a smooth as a four pot with a lead off and wasn't particularly fast or economical The controls and instruments appeared to be designed by a 15 year old Everything was done on the radio or whatever its called now. To adjust the bloody heating required going into it and taking your eyes off the road. On real cars you can do it all by feel with a slider or a dial. The DAB radio was rubbish and I never found FM
  8. Evening Rob Great picture 6738 was in traffic until very recently and hopefully may return to traffic in the future
  9. Well if its Stafford that's me and our group not coming. Too far as is Warley. I'm sure plenty of other venues towards the east not only the present venue. Stafford may have good north south road and rail links but terrible cross country
  10. Morning David, just take it easy. Hope you are feeling better soon
  11. I was talking to Mike he was telling me it was actually a modern bus that failed I don't hold Hornby magazine responsible at all for the bus farce Not at all impressed with Dews coaches I found the driver of the 6w Plaxton quite obnoxious, I know he had to have his break but there was a spare bus and driver and as he seemed to be the bloke organising the buses he did a s#it job
  12. Was a great day, pretty crowded first thing but bus service to car park was an absolute disaster We walked this morning and had to wait ages for return bus There were 2 buses there and I asked what was told one was spare and the driver was having a break on the other! Queue was hus so quite why the spare bus wasn't used was anyone's guess as it was sitting running keeping its driver warm
  13. Surprised this doesn't happen more often . Frightening the amount of bridges and viaducts you see with trees and bushes growing out of them
  14. There is Chris is still the original door
  15. It's not a solid door the plastic flyscreen was replaced with a metal one which is yellow
  16. Morning David, I love the atmosphere in the Gunness wharf picture
  17. Mine arrived last week had a flick through it and seems excellent It one of those books that I want to make time to really savour reading it. I was the same with Michael Rhodes book from grid iron to grassland Anymore projects in the pipeline Simon?
  18. It could have been a signal dropping to red in front of the train and the driver is being relieved as he or she is shaken up
  19. That's a shame, would have sounded better. Is that Jim tipping on the platform
  20. The cradles were called Granbils named after two chaps that came up with the idea. Sadly I can't remember their names now
  21. If it was a mk1 turbo in that condition it would be over 20k
  22. Very true but until recently these types of show tended to by things that looked like a mobile Westminster Abbey and almost as old with headlamps the size of a small planet
