  17. I like your layout, and loved the nostalgia photos with the class 50`s, what I also like is it is how the Cornish feel to the layout comes through with the stock and the platforms. Your target date of 2000 is nice, could you use class 47`s and 67`s on a parcel / mail train dragging a pcv around, it might add to the variety of workings Simon

  19. I am curious, not having listened to a class 45 for 25 years do the engines sound like class 47s ? Apparently class 47s have a 12LDA28C engine inside them which according to Wikipedia is a modified version of the same engine that Class 45s have being a 12LDA28B. The reason I am asking is because I am thinking of adding sound to a Replica class 45 ( with high intensity headlight ) and I have a spare Bachmann cl47 sound to put into the replica model. Any thoughts appreciated SGJ
  20. I am not too sure on this but did some of the west Yorkshire class 141`s get buffers and went to Iran ? SGJ
  21. I was ( just turned ) 18 when I had my first date with my Girl friend, I worked for BR at the time ( rrne ), she was a health care worker, I was talking about my model railway layout to a driver in the pub who had set me up on a blind date with her at the time that she and her friend walked in, so she knew strait away that I was into model railways her mate was going out with the driver at the time, the year after I was not on the railway any more, but that should answer the question. p.s. 20 years later were still together with 4 kids 2 of each. Funny bit now My oldest Daughter is dating a n gauge modeller from Stockport ( we all live in Leeds ) She met him at Rochdale exhibition last year whilst working on my stand ( she was not the boyfriend ).
