No, your getting confused. The earlier description is correct. The 27's were in multiple using a 27 pin cable and regulating air pipe either end of 6 mk2 coaches. These were completely replaced by the 47/7 , mk3 coaches and mk2 dbso using the Brush 2 wire tdm system via the coach lighting rch cables. They were the ones that made the interior lights flicker .

RJ11 has only 4 wires. RJ12 Has 6 wires, but both use same 6pin connector.

We thank you for your kind comments and glad you really enjoyed the show. We have been at this size now for 3 years and has nothing to do with the Nottingham Shows current size. We had a very good show with numbers up, bucking the trend of recent years. Both the vp's and mtu's are derated so that the maximum rpm is 1500.This is the maximum speed of the alternator. The amount of load of the auxiliaries / train supply has no bearing on the output of amps to the traction motors. These are separate windings on the alternator. Vp185 produces 2282hp at 1500rpm. Mtu in r41config for rail traction produces 2280hp at 1500rpm I believe. They both have significant more torque than the old valenta's, one of which can still be heard in the prototype power car.
