  1. I have used this totally on my layout it is easy to solder to and I use thin wire to go to the track. I run the track bus arund the rear of the layout under an embankment and use two pairs of strips on each 48in x24in board it has been totally reliable. After layinfg track I just ballasted over it. No problem with adhesion on the copper strip. the connection between boards and DCC controls is by wago connectors. Easy to connect and easy to disconnect. https://www.amazon.co.uk/WAGO-Electrical-Connectors-Conductor-Terminal/dp/B07QBC9DKS/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?adgrpid=53623159619&dchild=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwoZWHBhBgEiwAiMN66URCAMhH8Hnh3z70xbC32HDPNEGtiwKNg4NFaylvnjwZEl8fq13JLxoC_BEQAvD_BwE&hvadid=498964359292&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=1007208&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=11542099957642248343&hvtargid=kwd-274363452&hydadcr=175_2346364&keywords=wago&qid=1625653481&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&smid=A1CBZUBF6CJDUD&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFNOTBUT0Q0TkhCVDkmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTEwMjIyMTBGQjU5OTVIUTcwV08mZW5jcnlwdGVkQWRJZD1BMDMzNjU2OElJWVMwTUlIUDVFTiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU= Chaz

This seems more like a badly painted airfix model in the case value £30 at Best for the case and throw away the loco ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114855382594?hash=item1abdea0e42%3Ag%3AecYAAOSwsldgy2vw&LH_BIN=1
  3. The G*R vaccine is only effective for a short time! It has been found to be very effective in the followers of the SR withered arm who have suffered from the effects of G*R for many years! When the arm was affected it caused a mass shutdown by stealth and still leaves major after effects!! There may be some hope of a healing of certain problems in the near future. Maybe the Belle will sound again? Chaz

  9. I have a secondhand green Bachmann 10000 it is in beautiful condition and has been previously been used on DCC (notes on bottom of fuel tanks give the clue) . When I recieved it it had a 21 pin blanking plate and it ran well on DC. I fitted a Gaugemaster ruby 21 pin decoder and it will not program with my NCE powercab. but it will run on DC. I then tried a cheap lais DCC 21 pin chip When trying to program the loco buzzes very slightly and jumps forward without any input from the NCE when set to program track! In this configuration it has also tripped the powercab once. The loco will run on DC) I have switched switches under the loco no difference.) I have placed the chips into a chip checker and can program both of the chips all functions work! I have also checked out all of this on my Sprog 3 with JMRI and got the same result. Anyone got any ideas? ChazD

  18. Off the beaten track I vote for the Meon Valley Railway (MVR) truly Bucolic opened late 1905 closed to passenger traffic 1955 goods 1968 With the Didcot, Newbury and Southampton Railway (DN&SR) a close second
  19. Why not have a "Ferris Wheel"/Tombola with 2 or more rings held apart by long bars which have long (Maybe double ? balance clearance problems) track sections hung and attached by some sort of bearing. On the outer ring X number of tracks then x/2 tracks inside maybe more rings. The inlet from the baseboard to the "cassettes" would have to protude to allow attachment. It would also need a locking system. When moving it would be much gentler on the stock as a slight swing would not necessarily dislodge the stock. Maybe my warped mind is not working properley.
