A duck walks into a pub and orders a pint of beer and a ham sandwich. The barman looks at him and says, "Hang on! You're a duck." "I see your eyes are working," replies the duck. "And you can talk!" So the next day when the duck comes into the pub the barman says, "Hey Mr. Duck, I reckon I can line you up with a top job, paying really good money." Finally got 1 from my local Sainsburys Have an unused Bachmann Lord nelson Chassis that I bought with a view of using on an unuseable Mainline class 5 (not easily feasable). After a house in the next few weeks I may get the chance to motorise with the proper chassis, tender bogies more of a problem but may use the metal outers as an add on to some old bogies Chaz

Only if all wheels are of identical circumference will they stay in line. If one wheel is a thousanth of a mm different then after 1000 rotations it will be 1mm out after 10,000 rotations it will be 1cm out and after 100,000 rotations it will be 10 cm out The wheels on the locos if moved without coupling rods will get out of synch. I dont know how different the wheels became in use but with wear according to weight distribution I would not be surprised at up to a cm in circumference difference Same with car tyres your speedo will in a mechanical system read differently according to wear
