I was born in 1954 so not at 65 yet but I remember steam well in and around Reading certainly until 1965 When 5 yrs old I was fascinated by the Redhill, Guildford, Waterloo, Reading South line Then by the Steam 1960 onwards at Reading General, & Sonning Cutting with the final Kings Castles on the expresses.
  2. I have two complete coach kits the one shown and the coach just peeking out on the right of the box picture. They seem to be very detailed and when I am Incapacitated soon after an operation they are two of many projects to do.

  5. If you put the mouse over the headers of the file columns and right click it wil come up with options for "column headers" I think the one you will need is "Date Modified" add this and then you can arrange by this column by "left clicking" on the header Hope this helps ChazD

  8. As the helper looking after the shop I have burnt the videos to DVD/CD and have a copy on USB. I have also produced still images of the scumbag both full face and profile The detailing packs were not fitted. The miscreant had a bag but appears to have broken the cabinet hinges and put the locos into a bag a rolled up newspaper and into his anorak Chaz D

  11. Looks more like the up relief to me especially as it is coming away from the power station /sonning cutting towards reading The down main is nearest the camera? There should be a further track behind the up relief.

  13. Wonderful to see Windsor Castle. My grandfather was a steam engineer on this ship between South Africa and Southampton I believe he was the senior engineer. I in my youth went on board with him many times! Lovely use of a "shunter" Chaz

    In this I may be totally wrong. In the second picture of the Loco in the box:- 1.The cutting of the plastic film looks very untidy. 2. The picture omits a view of the cab ends. I know that R3262 is not normally associated with the Mazac pest problems. But I believe it was discounted at Hattons and people used the chassis as a replacement. Could these be the converse a model chassis swap with a Mazac pest chassis. KZ

Dave Jones at DJ Models tells us that the Class 71s have left China and should be here by the end of April. The crowd-funded pristine versions will arrive first (in two batches), followed by our exclusive weathered versions soon after. KZ
