Now Christmas and new year celebrations are passed its worth thnking about advance tickets.  They allow you entry 30 mins prior to main show opening as well as a saving on the door price!

Hi Colin

Sorry, couldn't resist getting that in there!  I'll email Andy to get it changed.

Cheers

BBC Radio Lancashire came to interview John and his wife Pauline about their recently announced "British Citizen's Award".

Whilst there, the reporter took the opportunity to have look in John's "shed" and the following is on the station's website:

Get to the Glasgow show and you can spend a little longer taking it all in.

I hope you are also bringing along to Glasgow some examples of your excellent signal engineering Steve.

Theres a fair amount of interest in what you are doing and you will undoubtedly be asked many questions from our signalling guy.

As I have been tasked with building many ground discs for the new layout I will have a few questions for you too.

Look forward to meeting you all again.

Dave.

One of the perks of being the showguide editor is that I get a great preview of the show through compiling the information for the guide!

Really looking forward to this year's show, some real layouts of interest this year, Liverpool Lime Street is one I'm planning to spend some time at, my son is also exhibiting with "Heavy Traffic", the first time the layout has been exhibited for a few years.

See you all soon!

My job for the year nearly done, the showguide proofs are on my screen and it looks good, some tiny tweaks and a deadline tomorrow then I can get some modelling done for a couple of weeks!!!

Thanks to all the clubs, layout owners and exhibitors for supplying the content that makes it tick, and our publicity manager for sorting out the adverts!

Now all you have to do is get yourself along to the show for your complimentary copy!!

Cheers

Craig

I'd hate to think that my entry ticket is funding this kind of tat  :nono:

These projects are separate to how the entry price is calculated, however if these were to be big money makers would you want them to help keep the price of your ticket lower??

I am very pleased to be exhibiting my own layout Fairhaven Road under the banner of my club, Glasgow & West of Scotland MRC at the show this year. You can see the whole story of the layout up to the present day on the following RM Web page. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/81671-fairhaven-road/

If you would like to see a video of the layout here is a link to a YouTube video taken by a visitor when the layout was at another show last year. https://youtu.be/Q6Y4Zpguxu8

I've seen the floor plan and we are likely to be the first layout most people will see when they enter the main public doorway to the hall. When it was last shown at Model Rail the crowds in front of it on the Friday were three deep. Why not avoid the crush and visit on the Saturday or Sunday.
